Anyone here hear about the upcoming animated movie, Wolf? It's about a pack of wolves' struggle for survival at the end of the wolf "war" that nearly wiped out the entire species. It is going to be 2-D, traditional animation. And it's not being animated by a big company like Disney or Universal. No, instead, this is an entirely volunteer-based project. Everyone working on the movie is volunteering. As a result, none of them are being paid, but they enjoy doing it anyway. The movie will probably take longer to be released as well. www.wolfmovie.com/They're still looking for help as well. So if anyone here at all is qualified for any of the jobs they ask for (look in Contribute) you could lend a helping hand in this movie. ^^

Oh wow, that sounds awesome! Could this be the start of 2-D animation making a comeback? I believe its also the first time I've ever seen a film produced by volunteers, definately an interesting thing they got going on here. I checked out the site a bit and it seems there's a job I could probably do (Merchandise). I'm liking the art concepts they've got going on. Seems rather promising... This seems like it could go pretty well. Let's hope for the best!

Wolf is most likely going to get a DVD release, but that hasn't been confirmed. If we're lucky, it'll be a theatrical release.
And about 2-D making a comeback, here's a quote from the site about that.
This is taken from Mission Statement.

I've been following ever since I first found out about through Greykitty's art for it; Epesi has some art oo up on her site.
I can't wait to see it; the animation looks beautiful, and of I love both 2-D and wolves, so there you go. ^^ I'm hoping to try and find the book version of it.

I think I've followed it since 2000, certainly 2001; I remember Audrey's early drawings on Yerf, when the character designs were all rather toonier, and Janus was known as Mite (me-tay). ^^ I think it was one of the things that got me really interested in doing animation. I used to try to come up with projects of my own, though I really had no idea what I was doing. XD I tried to write scripts and do concept art, but I never even had a story.
I used to post on the Wolf forum. I wanted to join the team, but I realized I really wasn't ready. But that's the advantage to the slow process; I hope I may be able to help out yet. ^^
I've been meaning to get a copy of that prequel book, and I had my eye on one of those t-shirts, too...so far, I've got the Art and Design book. If you can, I'd definitely recommend buying that one. ^^
Wow, you found my old website? I didn't even know that was still around. XD

Heh, yeah I found it off your TLKFAA account. ^^'
The history's interesting; I didn't know it had been going on for that long. I also didn't know that there was an art and design book out. I'll have to see if I can find it.
