Anyone here own the latest Nintendo videogame console, the Nintendo Wii?
I'm pretty sure most of you have seen and heard of it, it's one of the newest current-gen systems and, unlike the others the Wii's primary control is the Wii Remote and capable of motion sensing, allowing a brand new depth into gaming and the cheapest of the newest next-gen system.
I own one and personally I'm enjoying the system's motion sensing capabilities. It can simulate sports pretty well in the Wii Sports game. And the ability to swing the Wii Remote to swing the sword in Zelda: Twilight Princess and aiming with the remote for great accuracy with the bow and slingshots is a pretty refreshing way to play, and I love it.
The console can also connect to the internet to access the Wii Shop Channel where you can buy old-school games and download them for a really cheap fee. It has a News Channel, Weather Channel, and the Mii Channel. You can trade Wii Codes with other Wii owners to be able to send each other messages and trade Miis, which are avatars you can create in the Mii Channel. But to get the most out of this console an internet wireless connection is needed or with the Nintendo DS USB Internet Connector.
I really like this system and enjoying its control scheme, pretty refreshing way to play videogames and interaction. Granted some games you need to play it while standing, but if those games require you stand they'll make sure it'll be worth it to stand up for the fun you'll have.
Anyone around here have it?
