Ok I agree with Spectrum. It's just so that they can keep the business flowing and I think they deleted all BB videos because lots of people haven't even seen the first one. And they want those people to buy it and watch it not think about what happens by watching free music videos. So all and all I understand this and I'm not getting mad at them because I understand.

It's not just Brother Bear; I think all Disney videos were deleted. Or most of them anyway.

Hmmm... I think it's mainly brother bear and lilo & stitch (for some odd reason). I heard about it on another forum.

I would say most of what I said would apply to most films, Disney or not... But regardless, if you put up warnings about spoilers and copyrights, and DON'T put up entire movies like a certain idiot, I don't see why Disney would be set on deleting them or getting YouTube to delete em again anyways.

All my Disney music videos, in the credits, stated that the movie belonged to Disney. I thought that would work, but it didn't. ::shrug:: Oh well.

I heard someone suggested that they delete youtube! And I think that you tube is actually considering it. We can't let that happen!

Building on what Spectrum said and though I don't agree with it, I think Disney and the others companies had another reason to ban ALL movies. There are thousands of videos on YouTube (even the moderators of YouTube themselves can only find questionable material if someone reports it to them). It would take a good deal of time for Disney (or any other company) to filter through the videos to seperate fan-made music videos and unaltered clips. Therefore, it is easier to simply ban all of the videos. Again, I agree with the statement that they're sacrificing free advertising and that is wrong to ban all. Yeah. I really liked watching this one brother bear music video and now it's been banned. A friend of mine is starting a petition about the YouTube problem. If anyone wants to sign it just tell me your usernames and I'll tell my friend so he can right them down.

What exactly are the terms of your friend's petition? o.O I can't see how it's supposed to help. Anyway, EP and Spec made excellent points; we may not think it's fair that we can't share our fan videos this way just because some people have the flagrant disregard to pirate the entire movies, but there's no practical way for YouTube or Disney to monitor what content's all right and what's not. I didn't realize they had removed other Disney movies as well, but I shouldn't be surprised. Even now, a simple search for The Lion King turns up the entire movie, divided into ten parts. (I know TLK1.5 is on there as well.) It was uploaded a month ago; how did it manage to survive the cull? Plus, the video quality is terrible; I don't understand why anyone would prefer to watch it on YouTube than just rent it. That is pure laziness; if they were just too cheap, they could pick it up at a library, and not have to pay for it at all.

It's not just Disney Movies being deleted...my entire account was deleted because of "copyright violations". You Tube is just being unfair now...they had no right to delete my account because I was make music videos that CLEARLY stated in the end credits that I did not own what I used to make them.
I can't even get a new account or do anything about it...because big sites like You Tube could care less about being unfair.

I'm afraid I must disagree. YouTube had every right to delete your account, and you agreed to those terms when you signed up. They stated it repeatedly in the Terms of Use document: And for clarity, this is from the page Copyright Tips, in the Help Center: Is it fair? Morally, that's up for debate, but legally, yes. YouTube only did what they told us they would do if we broke their rules; they were fully within their rights. Technically, we had no legal rights to make the videos in the first place.

Then technically, screenshots, fanart and fanfics would also be considered illegal because they are of copyrighted material. That's how I see it.
