Nikiski gasp as he hears that. Turning back towards the bushes, he growls at the wolverines in the bushes.
"Are you out of your head? What in the world are you thinking?"

Ken'ichi's face beamed up as the Troodon proposed the probability of him traveling with EbonyPatriot someday, that just got this cub excited. But for now, he has to help him against this wolverine pack. Then, maybe, he'll go with him if time allows it.
"Good night." Ken'ichi said after the Troodon wished him a good night.
Ken'ichi gets comfortable in his sleeping spot and closes his eyes, losing consciousness and letting his dreams take him away.

"Tazer!" whispers a pale male Wolverine named Balatro. "The bear knows we're here!!! What do we do?!?"
"Act like we're not here!" answers Belladonna to her full brother.
"Okay. Uhm, we're not here!" cries Balatro.
"Silence you fools!" snarls Tazer, biting the brother and sister on their shoulders. Then, snarling, the giant wolverine lunges for Nikiski, ivory fangs aimed at the bear's sensitive nose.
Now had not Nikiski been a young, agile bear, or had the bruin not seen Tazer spring at the right instant, Nikiski's nose would have been slashed wide open, possibly ruining it for life. But the young, agile Nikiski had seen Tazer spring at the right moment; thus Nikiski dodges easily, leaving Tazer to land, snarling.
"What I am talking about a common Bear like you wouldn't understand," sneers Tazer. The Wolverine is furious- Nikiski will be on his guard for some time now. His attack would have to wait. Signaling his pack, Tazer leads them away, leaving Nikiski alone.

The warm sunlight casts its golden rays into the cave, illuminating the night-black coat of the wide-awake Troodon. He yawns and looks at the sleeping bear. His playfulness urges him to pounce on the cub as a joke, but EbonyPatriot senses that such an action would be inappropriate. So he settles for nudging Ken'ichi instead. "Awaken bear," he says, chuckling to himself.

Ken'ichi groans and slowly opens his eyes after EbonyPatriot has nudged him to wake up. The recently awaken bear cub sits up and gives out a yawn as his system sets up for a brand new day.
"Good morning EP." Ken'ichi greeted. "Shall we start on our way and get something to eat on the way?"

"Good morning," EbonyPatriot respons. The Troodon wags his tail. "Aye, I want to get to Nikiski's as soon as possible. Let's go!"

Ken'ichi nods. "OK, let's go." He pads outside of the cave to look at the beauty of the new day. "If we hurry, we could reach to my big brother in just a few short hours!"
Ken'ichi trotted ahead into an open field, letting his Troodon friend catch up. As they walk accross the open field, Ken'ichi saw a bush of berries, perfect for him, but he's not sure if it'll satisfy EbonyPatriot. "Ah, a berry bush. Hope you're in the mood for some berries."
Suddenly, the trot of a caribou is caught in Ken'ichi's ears, he turns and suddenly sees it. "On second thought," Ken'ichi smirked. "I haven't eaten a caribou for a long time now. Whichever you please, EP."

"Okay. Uhm, we're not here!" cries a wolverine, and Nikiski hears it. He can't help but chuckle at their foolishness.
"Silence you fools!" snarls the largest wolverine.
The wolverine attacks and aims at the bear's nose. Nikiski dodges it in time, and the wolverine lands on the ground, still snarling.
"What I am talking about a common Bear like you wouldn't understand," The wolverine claims. That leaves Nikiski in wonder as he sees the pack of wolverines leave.
"That was interesting..." The bear say to himself.

OOC: The more the merrier Kirchy!!  I hope you won't mind if I enter you in here (you‘re at the end…) BIC: EbonyPatriot gives a sound that is half gasp and half sob. "NO!!" he screams. "YOU CAN'T KILL THAT CARIBOU!!! THAT'S TYONEK, A FRIEND OF MINE!!!" "Ty! It's me, Ty!" calls EbonyPatriot, running towards the form; the bewildered Ken'ichi following in his wake. A huge Caribou stag, chrome in color, emerges from the bushes, an amused look on his face. "Hello EP, long time no see," he says in a gruff, tough-guy voice. "Don't ask me why I'm here; you'd have to ask Fawkes," says Tyonek quickly. Tyonek turns his velvet-covered head towards Ken'ichi. "Planning on eating me, were you bear?" The stag laughs. "Well, that's the way it is. Eat or be eaten." "This is my friend, Ken'ichi," explains the Troodon, tail wagging happily. Tyonek bows respectfully. "Any friend of EP is a friend of mine." Before the bear can reply, the Caribou says "I'm sorry, but I must go. I have to see if Tuque's doing a good job of leading my new herd. Peace and long life, Ken'ichi and EP." With that, Tyonek disappears into the forest. "Tuque's another Caribou. We can kill Caribou, but never any gray ones. They might be Tuque or Tyonek; both are good friends of mine. Well, I guess we have to eat berries now,” grins the Troodon. ------- Sitka watches as Nikiski stands alone after the Wolverine encounter, thinking. The Bald Eagle is much happier than he was before- Nikiski knew about the Wolverines. What's more, Sitka knew that the young bear would never completely relax with Tazer alive. Spreading his wings, Sitka takes off. ------- Tyonek gallops through the woods, having found that Tuque was doing a fine job. He was thinking of going back to EP when his ears caught the soft sounds of a cub. His velvety nose told him it was a young female. Walking softly, the Caribou goes forward until he sees the light brown cub, standing on her dark brown paws and legs. "Hello little cub," says Tyonek, stepping forward (but staying a safe distance from the cub, for Caribou are nervous beasts). "Why are you all alone?" |

Ken'ichi was rather lost when EbonyPatriot tells the young cub that the caribou Ken'ichi was about to hunt is a friend of his named Tyonek. Though it didn't bothered him at all, he did found the idea rather amusing. Now this cub has to be more careful when hunting caribou, don't want to kill EbonyPatriot's friends.
As if magically a while after Tyonek leaves to his herd, another caribou appears a little far off over a hill. Now Ken'ichi wasn't about to lose this one, but he has to get EbonyPatriot's approval before hunting the caribou, which could turn out to be a friend.
"Hey EP, what about that one?" Ken'ichi asks his Troodon friend while pointing to the caribou grazing over the hill. "That one OK?"

The Troodon snuffs and stares, focusing his eyes. "Yeah," he grins. "That guy's brown. It's only the gray ones we can't kill." EbonyPatriot raises his head. "Let's go!"

Ken'ichi nods and runs toward the caribou, however he stops when he's very near the caribou and lowers his body under the grass so the caribou doesn't notice him.
"I haven't hunted recently, so don't mind if my hunting skills are a little rusty." Ken'ichi wispers to EbonyPatriot with a chuckle. "Get ready to spring at him..."

Kirchy was pdding through the woods all alone. She had been looking for a good berry bush, but couldn't find one. Kirchy sighed and sat down.
Suddenly her ears perk up. She hears someone or something voming toward her. Kirchy stands up to face whatever was coming toward her. She looks forward and sees a caribu standing there.
"Hello little cub," it says, stepping forward. "Why are you all alone?"
"I don't have a family," Kirchy replies. "They died in a storm. I do have an older brother, but he had to go somewhere again."

Without waiting for a signal, EbonyPatriot sprung, talons raised. He landed on the caribou's right side, slashing open the animal's brown hide with his talons; weakening the beast due to blood-looose. The Troodon sinks his teeth into white neck. His sky-blue eyes flash despertly to Ken'ichi, hoping the bear will understand the urgent need to strike now; lest the caribou crush the dinosaur beneath him!

"Thats terrible, I'm sorry," says Tyonek, his voice becoming much softer. "Tell me, little cub, do you have any friends? If so, why aren't you with them?"

"Yeah, I do," Kirchy replies. "But I left them a while ago. Now I don't know where they are," she says sadly.
