BlackStar-
BlackStar smiled evilly as Marekstar started to drag herself towards the cave. 'It won't be long now...' She was about to launch an attack when Pierro, her brother, stepped in.
"What are you doing?" BlackStar hissed.
"She's done for." Pierro spoke softly. "There is no need to attack her anymore."
Despite the darkness in his heart, Pierro didn't truly believe in attacking someone who was already mortally wounded.
BlackStar snarled, but didn't do anything else. BlackStar was one of the few who would strike someone while they were still down. Amazingly, not even the blackest stormstalker in the rebel clan would strike an animal as wounded as Marekstar.
"Fine..." She hissed, lowering her ears.

OOC: I felt really bad when writing this post. This is the first time I felt this way about a post.
BIC:
WhiteStar, BlackStar, Midnight, and Pierro-
The young kit had heard screaming coming from outside. Feeling the need to get away for a little while, she scurried over to where the sound was coming from. As she poked her head out from the underground tunnel, she couldn't hold back a gasp of shock and horror. She could see a female stormstalker, mortally injured. Her mother...her own mother...stained with blood, trying to attack.
WhiteStar's eyes widened and her ears drooped back. A few teas welled up in her eyes. "No...no...Mom...you can't do this..." The young kit backed away into the tunnel, shaking. She couldn't keep her eyes off the injured stormstalker. "No..."
BlackStar growled impatiently as she watched Marekstar tredge along. She hadn't noticed her daughter peaking out, watching everything she did and said.
Pierro stood by his sister as he watched the tribe leader losing her life slowly. While he hated her, even he felt it unbearable to see her in pain for that long.
Midnight stood there, cold, nearly unemotional as he glared at Marekstar, but he did not give an ounce of indication he was amused.
Suddenly BlackStar snapped. "I'm not waiting any longer!" She suddenly charged forward, mouth open for the kill.
Finally, emotion etched its way onto Midnight's face. "NO!" He cried out, horrified. "BLACKSTAR! STOP!!"
Pierro saw it too. "No! Come back here!"
But BlackStar was already at Marekstar. Uncaring about the other's injuries, she pushed Marekstar down, pushed her onto her back, and bit down on the leader's throat. Ignoring any sound she was hearing, both from Marekstar, and from her own rebel members, she quickly pulled away, ripping the leader's throat out.
WhiteStar whimpered as she watched. She was too scared to run. Instead, she cowered onto the ground, shaking terribly. "Why mom...? Why...?"
Midnight and Pierro stood terrified at the sight that now lay before them. As BlackStar walked back towards them, blood staining her mouth, Midnight managed to say, "What have you done?"
"Killed the leader. Isn't that what you all wanted?" BlackStar growled.
"Yes, but...but she was already down for the count, sister." Pierro said, cringing. "There wasn't a need to do that..."
"Whatever." She looked at the other stormstalkers, many of them shocked as well. "Let's go back inside." She and the rebels disappeared into the tunnels, returning to their hideout, and leaving Markestar alone.
Except for one.
WhiteStar hadn't left yet. When the coast was clear, she scurried out of the cave and ran up to Marekstar's body. The young kit, although having never met this stormstalker, couldn't help but weep for the poor soul.
"May the Great Spirits be with you." She whispered softly, rubbing her head against Marekstar's cheek fur, before laying down next to her, and waited for the Great Spirits to come.

OOC: Poor WhiteStar - Beautiful post, DarkHououmon- you really felt for her. Oh and the reason why I had Merakstar live and back away to the edge is because I thought you wanted to a TLK thing. BIC: Merakstar screeched, a weak pathetic, bubbling sound, as the life was torn out of her. Her body slumps to the earth, her face wracked with pain. Xotol watches as the murderers, having argued amongst themselves, leave, his tail thrasing. Oh yes, he will atatck them, but first... To his suprise, the offspring of BlackStar and Midnight, whiteStar grieves over the fallen one's death. Why...ah, now he can see it. Why her heart is as pure as Matoaka's. Why her pelt would still be black is beyond even his understanding. ""May the Great Spirits be with you." Heart touched by this kit's good soul,, Xotol strides forward, letting himself become visible. " We are, WhiteStar. I am Xotol, The Spirit Of Death." At that moment, Tekkeitsertok charges into the cave. Sobbing, Equuleus springs from the movving Stag and, ignoring the shock in his paws at such a blow, flings himself upon his sister, wailing pitifully. Tekkeitsertok sorrowfully creeps over to Xotol and WhiteStar. "Poor fellow," he mutters, motioning at Equuleus with one of his mighty antlers. He stands silently, head lowered. One question, though, buzzes around Tekkeitsertok's mind? Why hasn't Xotol taken Merakstar's spirit from her body? Why has he left it?

WhiteStar-
WhiteStar was surprised to see Xotol and Tekkeitsertok arriving. When she saw Equuleus run over, she immediately backed away. She looked up to Xotol, and whispered, "Xotol..?" She then turned her head to Tekkeitsertok. "Tekketsertok."
With tears still stinging in her eyes, she turned her head towards the grieving brother, and his dead sister. Ears drooping downward, she looked up at the two Great Spirits, eyes widened with desperation.
"Is there a...a way to reverse this...?" She was trembling from sorrow. "Is there anything that can be done.."

"Indeed there is," nods Xotol. "Her spirit is still in her. All that's needed is for her heart, her brain, and her lungs, to start again. Tekkeisertok?"
The Golden Stag gently nudges Equuleus away. The numbed Storm-stalker sits on his haunches, tears streaking from aquamarine eyes.
Tekkeitsertok lays down and drapes his muzzle over Merakstar; his warm breath strokes the white pelt.
Equuleus's ears cocked forward. Let her flesh not be torn he had begged; and now...before his eyes...Merakstar's flesh was mending.
Let her blood leave no stain he had begged; and now her blood was evaporating from her pelt and the ground.
Though she's beaten, let her feel no pain he had begged; and now her expression transformed into one of peace.
Let her bones never break he had begged; and now her foreegs were knitted.
And no matter how they try to destroy her...oh!...Let her never die! Merakstar's eyes open; slowly, she raises her head.
Let her never die! Her eyes blink, her chest is dilating with breath, her heart is beating... "MERAKSTAR!" cries Equuleus, pouncing on her.
"Ack! Get off of me, you supsersticious overgrown hare!" barks Merakstar, pushing him off of her. "What happened? Where's that Xotol-cursed BlackStar?"

WhiteStar-
WhiteStar's face lit up when she saw the newly healed stormstalker back on her feet. But her smile faded and turned serious when Marekstar wanted to know where her mother went.
Bowing her head with respect, she slowly approached the leader. Even though she was the offspring of Midnight and BlackStar, she hardly wanted anything to do with them, but hoped that one day they would be freed of the darkness in their hearts, even if it meant by death.
"She went into the underground cave, Marekstar." She said, showing a slight tinge of fear. After all, Marekstar was a large and powerful stormstalker. "You cannot enter it unless you know or are with someone who knows where the traps there. Venomous kemon needles are in the cave."
She pointed her head in the direction where the entrance was. "The entrance is right over there. It's the main entrance. There's supposedly a secret entrance, but I don't know where that is."
OOC: I'm thinking the secret entrance would be in Xotol's lair. The rebel hideout and Xotol's lair are two different places, although they are pretty much right next to each other. ^^;

OOC: Eh, all right- I stink at locations. BIC: "Kemon needles melt beneath my hooves," says Tekkietsertok, shaking his mane. "But at the same time I cannot afford to be here much longer." Merakstar blinks, slowly digesting this information. Then she snarls, "Ooo, I'll get her! I'll get that snivelling-" "Mother of WhiteStar," corrects Equuleus, just now noticing the kit. " What do you have to leave for, Tekkeitsertok?" asks Xotol. "I need to help Denahi," replies the Stag. "You know, I wonder if Shakti would help." " Shakti? Well let me see, says Xotol, fading from view. The Storm-stalkers leaders lay down in sphinx-fashion, eyes on the Great Spirit and kit. "Now then," continues Tekkeitsertok. "WhiteStar. Before I leave, I want to speak with you."

WhiteStar-
WhiteStar blinked at the name. 'Shakti...?' She had heard a few mention her name, but nothing more. She ignores Marekstar's anger and is lost in her own thoughts until Tekkeitsertok called out to her. The kit looked up at the Golden Stag and walked up to him slowly.

"Dearest kit, do you know how your fur turned white?" Tekkeitsertok pauses for a reply. "That was my doing. For it was my gift to Matoaka, that the pelts of her children may reflect the goodness in their hearts. "Yet I did not purge your fur all the way, as I should have; for I feared for you- I feared your sire and dame would reject you if your pelts was pure snow. "Now I ask you, Daughter Of Matoaka, what do you think of your parents?" OOC: Would you like to have a scene with Xotol speaking with Shakti? Or should I just have him return with her reply?

OOC: Well if you'd like them to talk, okay. XD
BIC:
WhiteStar-
WhiteStar listened to every word in silence. When the Great Spirit now questioned her about her parents, her ears lowered slightly. "Well...I can't say I totally hate them... I just..." She sighed. "I just wish that they didn't allow themselves to be swallowed by the darkness in their hearts. I'm actually frightened of them, mostly of my mother, BlackStar." Her ears lowered even more. "She..she frightens me."

OOC: Eh, it's up to you- I don't mind either way. BIC: Tekkeitsertok presses his muzzly against the kit's fur. "A wise thing to fear, dear WhiteStar." After a few seconds, the Great Spirit steps back. "However your answer has proven that goodness can come from the ashes of malice. When the threat is eliminated, if you wish it, I shall return your hairs to their true color. But not until then. "Equuleus," the Stag continues, swivelling his head until his wall-eyes meet the second-in-command's. "Did you recieve my warning of Tazer?" Even through his awe-submerged state, the Storm-stalker smirks at his sister. "Don't-rub-it-in," hisses Merakstar, embarassment scalding her veins. "Yes," says Equuleus, his grin fading as he turns to Tekkeitsertok. "I have." "Prepare yourself, for BlackStar will ally herself with Tazer the instant they meet."

OOC: Okay, we can have a scene with Shakti speaking with Xotol.
BIC:
BlackStar, Midnight, and Pierro-
The three lead rebels hurried deeper inside the cave. BlackStar's evil smile stayed with her as she thought of her accomplishment earlier. With Marekstar now out of the way, taking over the Tribe will be easy!
Midnight's previous empathy had vanished, his cold expression returning to his face. He stayed beside his mate and, although he did not show it, he was feeling proud of their completed task.
Pierro was still slightly unnerved. He couldn't help but feel that Xotol was watching them, judging them. He knew Xotol was no Dark Spirit. He knew that if Xotol saw what she did, they'd all pay the price.
"I don't feel right...about what you did, BlackStar." He spoke up, and earned a glare from his sister.
"Will you stop sniveling already?" BlackStar snapped. "There's no such thing as Xotol, or Tekkeitsertok. And Marekstar is dead!" She bared her teeth close to her brother's snout. "There's nothing to fear!"
Pierro chuckled nervously, withdrawing away from BlackStar. "Y-Y-Yes...but...what if...what if you're wrong...?"
"Wrong?!" BlackStar rose her head up, an enraged look on her face. "I'm never wrong!"
Midnight chuckled emotionlessly. "Yeah, what about the whole 'the wind will cover our tracks' deal?"
BlackStar lowered her head. "Shut. Up."
WhiteStar-
WhiteStar smiled at Tekkeitsertok's promise about turning her fur back to white. She bowed her head and said, "Thank you." She then became silent as Tekkeitsertok addressed Equuleus and Marekstar about BlackStar.

The Tribe's tempers were wearing thin; at this point, any returning Storm-stalker will have their living flesh torn off their bones upon sight.
"Remember, kill the black-furred ones," rasped a gaunt Storm-Stalker, her scrawny chest is blotched with dark chocolate. The others glanced at her and nodded, hackles still raised.
The scrawny Storm-stalker, Merga by name, had been Dubhe's seond-in-command at one. A dominating beast, her elevated status drove her recklessness into overdrive; and would have surely killed her had not Atik taken her place. Although Merga had felt no bitterness when she had been replaced (or when Equuleus's birth denied even dreams of re-obtaining the position); she had eagerly awaited a chance to be in charge once more. Thus she stood now, leader (at least until the siblings return), basking in the glory.
As the Storm-stalkers say, Tekkeitsertok help them.
---
"What's what, Tazer will have allys- a Thunderbird, a Grizzly Bear, and an Alimon; perhaps more," continues Tekkeitsertok.
"That's not possible!" growls Merakstar, shocked at her own boldness. "Bears are extinct!"
"Are you challenging a Great Spirit?" demands Equuleus.
The Stag smiles. "She is right to question me. Yes, Merakstar, Bears are extinct here, but not in all places."
With that, the Golden One bows his antlered head. "I must leave you now. Fight bravely." He gallops out, fading from sight.
A few minutes later, Equuleus clears his throat. "So, what are we going to do with you, kit?"
---
Xotol scrutinizes the murderers, red eyes blazing. Ebon is paler than their hearts, all three of them. He must speak with Tekkeitsertok about how many ivory hairs glisten in BlackStar's pelt.
His claws imaple the permafrost as BlackStar denies his existance. "What a fool you are, Xotol whispers. "there are more things in Aidenn and earth than are ever dreamt of by you."
"Shakti, The Spirit Of Death must speak with you," Xorol states suddenly, glancing up at the flickering lights.

Shakti-
Shakti slowly emerged from the lights, and floated down towards the ground. Her body stopped glowing, revealing her brownish skin. Her blue eyes stared at the fellow Great Spirit before her. "What is it?" She asked.

"The Storm-stalker matriarch was murdered by BlackStar. Tekkeitsertok has brought her back to life.
"Now she and her brother seek revenge, and rightfully so. I shall deal with the rebels myself. However, they need a Great Spirit to guide them, for the path is covered with Kemon spines. Will you help them, Shakti?
Xotol shakes his pelt, lips twitching. "Come to think of it, perhaps I would be wiser to ask Matoaka than a bipolar creature like you, Shakti."
