The long-awaited Double J Project! Jackie Chan and Jet Li finally arrive working together in a martial arts movie based on the Chinese Literature, Journey to the West.
A story about a Kung Fu fanboy (Michael Angarano) who is sent back in time by a mystical staff and sent on a quest to deliver it back to its rightful owner, the Monkey King. Joining him in his journey are the Drunken Immortal (Jackie Chan), the Silent Monk (Jet Li), and the Orphan Warrior (Liu Yi Fei) as they protect him from the forces of evil and to train him in the ways of Kung Fu.
I gotta say, I really enjoyed this movie. So many great fighting scenes, and Jackie Chan once again makes us laugh with his drunken immortal character and amaze us with his great martial arts moves. And with Jet Li by his side, it was just awesome!
Great movie, and it was nice seeing the Monkey King on the big screen. I give it two thumbs up.

This looks like an interesting Movie, and highly entertaining, too! The action looks amazing and the comedy has to be hilarious, with Jackie Chan being there! And it's the first movie with Jackie and Jet Lee! I plan in seeing it one day, if I can! It looks Awesome! ^_^

I saw it, and while I doubt it's going to be the smash hit of the summer I still have to say that I greatly enjoyed the movie!
Plots don't come much more cliche (Kid lost in a strange world seeks a way home with help from local sources) but then, you really go to a kung-fu movie to watch people beat the snot out of each other, right? I must say, in regards to fighting, this movie did NOT dissapoint.
And of course, despite what the plot may be, the real stars are Chan and Li without a doubt.

Hmmmm... although I've always admired Jackie Chan, he's a great person irl and his movies are thoroughly entertaining, and Jet Li has established himself as a great martial-arts actor with some good movies under his belt, I always thought the idea of the two of them together would be a recipe for disaster in a movie. =3
In any case, it's still one I'd like to see. Sounds like it could be pretty entertaining and the basis of the story is something that is close to my heart so hopefully it'll be enjoyable. ^^
