Dreamwork's latest CGI movie kicks butt and takes names. A funny and action-packed martial arts movie that manages to stay safe and friendly with children and adults alike.
I gotta say, I loved this movie. Funny and very action-packed. Jack Black is very good as Po, a big fat panda who's a Kung Fu fanatic and dreams of becoming a Kung Fu legend.
A very good animated movie and I really recommend it.

I thought it was only ok. The animation was good, but the action, plot and general hilarity of the movie could have been improved.
8/10

I really want to see this, but I doubt it'll play in English here. Looks like I'll be missing the chance to see most of this summer's movies in theaters...I could see them in Russian, but I don't know enough to understand much of the dialogue. We used to get some movies in English, but it looks like Hollywood doesn't want to ship undubbed movies to Russia anymore. The English-language theater wasn't even told that their copy of Indiana Jones would be in Russian. It's probably about piracy, but if that's the case, as usual they're only punishing innocent viewers while criminals find other ways around it...stupid. Anyway...this movie looks like awesome to me. I watched the credits earlier because I read about the bit of traditional animation that was used there, and it looked fantastic. :3

Oh boy, that's pretty lame not to also have the English dub over there, Epesi.
And yeah, the beginning of the movie is all in traditional animation in a Chinese style art, it was pretty neat and colorful. I was happy to see some 2D animation back in theaters after last seeing it in Enchanted. You'll really love this movie, it has comedy and Kung Fu action.
By the way, those who have seen the movie, is the Wuxi Finger Hold toying with your mind as much as I do? I'm trying to figure out how that hold actually works to make such a devastating explosion by just lowering your pinky XD

Bad news KFP lost at the Oscars unfortunately. I was hoping for KFP or Bolt to win the Oscar for Best Animated picture. But oh well. Just like Brother Bear the acadamy can't make a good call to save their lives.

Seen both Kung Fu Panda and WALL-E. KFP is really nice and funny movie But in my opinion other Dreamworks animations are better. WALL-E is so much in Disney style, you'll see it - you'll know xD And I really don't know why WALL-E got the Oscar. When I saw it for the first time I was like - Ok... so what is that movie really about?

I finally saw Kung Fu Panda a couple of months back (got it for Christmas like Night Bear), and I'm absolutely in love with it now. I think it'll be a classic. :3 It's got that timeless quality.
I don't pay much attention to the Oscars these days...I didn't even know it was on yesterday. XD I've yet to see Wall-E myself, but I've heard nothing but good things about it, and Pixar's never disappointed me yet. I can't honestly say which movie most deserved the Oscar; it'd probably be a toss-up if I tried. I couldn't choose between Kung Fu Panda or Bolt, so it doesn't much matter to me if neither won the prize, you know? XD

I'm looking forward to the sequels. They do have a lot to live up to, but I think they'll be good. But I stand by what I always say: a sequel can never ruin a movie.

It's the people that make the sequel that can ruin the movie. It's not that I am not looking forward to them cause I am. I just hope they turn out good.

I've watched it two times in the cinema, and I love it. ;D "That whenever ya want to watch the movies card" has been a good investement in those days.
It's full of comedy and action, I recommend to add this one to your Kung Fu experience ^^. Even Koda could learn something of Po's moves.

I agree! I also enjoyed Kung Fu Panda. We had some Awesome laughs, and I was engrossed in all the action scenes. I didn't think I would enjoy it as much as I did! The movie is a true Blessing, and I would LOVE to watch it again! (Yeah, we rented it! ) The animation at the end was neat, too! ^_^ - Little preacher man.
