Is anybody else excited about the final game in the Legend of Spyro triology, Dawn of the the Dragon?
It will feature both Cynder and Spyro as playabale characters, as well as the voices of Wayne Brady as Sparx (whose voice has changed in each of the new games), Christina Ricci as Cynder (whose voice as also changed in each of the new games), Elijah Wood as Spyro, Blair Underwood as Hunter, and Mark Hamill as the Dark Master Malfor.
I had enjoyed the previous Legend of Spyro entries anyway, so I was looking forwards to this game anyway, but I'm really glad with the voice cast- I've always enjoyed hearing Wayne Brady, and Mark Hamill's one of my favorite voice actors. I wonder what they'll sound like for their roles. ^^
So, anyone else looking forward to this game? ^^

Ohhh yes! ;D I am very excited about this game. It's full of things I've always wished for in a Spyro game, particularly free flight -- I've been wanting that since 1998. I'm also looking forward to co-op play; I have a younger cousin who also loves Spyro, so now we can play it together. I'm dying to finally see Hunter, my favorite character from the original series. ^^ Though it's clear he's a very different character in this version, I do hope some of the old Hunter's personality is still there, simply matured and hardened. Either way, I'm sure I'll love him. Same here about the voices. ^^ Have you seen the Q&A with the producers on the Sierra forum? They've been very considerate of their fan base, giving some very informative answers, and they encourage fan fiction as well.

I played the first one and have enjoyed it. I haven't played the second one yet though, but I will soon to be able to catch up to the final game.

I haven't played any of the Spyro games. Think that I could play it without playing the others first?

The Legend of Spyro trilogy is very story-driven, so you'd be a bit lost if you started the third without knowing the plot. I'd recommend at least renting the first two if you have any of the consoles they were released on (I believe A New Beginning was on PS2, Gamecube and Xbox, and The Eternal Night was on those plus the Wii) -- I enjoyed them, but I should warn you that the combat can be repetitive. If you don't want to or can't play them, you could find the cutscenes online. The Legend of Spyro timeline has no connection to the original Spyro games (it's a completely revamped take on Spyro), so you don't have to worry about those at all to understand the plot -- though if you can play PS1 games and you like platformers at all I highly recommend the first three.

I'm interested in playing it, but I haven't completed the second game yet. ^^; Heheh I haven't completed the PS2 version of the second game yet either, just the GameBoy version. ^^ Ohhh yes! ;D I am very excited about this game. Either way, I'm sure I'll love him. Same here about the voices. ^^ Yay I'm glad to hear that you're excited too. ^^ Aww that's sweet that you're gonna play it with your cousin. ^^ I like Hunter too (although I only know him from Hero's Tail is actually the only one of the older Spyro games I have ^^)- I was glad they decided to add him. Heh I wonder what they're going to sound for them, especially Hamill. ^^ I had seen a bit of earlier today although I hadn't read the whole thing^^; I like how they treat their fans well and actually do answer their questions the best they can. ^^ Now I wanna know more about Malefor. I haven't played any of the Spyro games. Think that I could play it without playing the others first? Heheh, I see Epesi has beaten me to replying to this. ^^" Actually, I had only played "A Hero's Tail" (and a little bit of the one where he gets assigned Sparx, although I never got too far into it) before playing the first Legend of Spyro, and I wasn't lost for that. ^^ The Eternal Night is also available on GameBoy, although that version has some errors on it. ^^

The first footage of the game has been released in an interview with Elijah Wood! Here is the link. The interview doesn't start until around twelve minutes in that video, but fortunately you can skip to it by clicking the appropriate tab; scroll over them to see their names. For me, it took a while to load and was a little choppy even then, but I have a pretty lousy connection and it was far from unwatchable. I think it looks beautiful in action, and I can't wait to pick it up and start flying. ;D Combat looks very satisfying, too. They really seem to be toying with fangirls like me with all their secrecy about Hunter. XD He makes a brief appearance in this video, but only seen from behind, and he doesn't speak. I did feel just a bit cheated, but the excitement of seeing him at all made me happy enough that I don't really care. XD Here he is!With his big ears and those markings on his head and neck, he looks a bit more like a serval than a cheetah. Not that I'm complaining. X3
