I like the idea of having the filly joine the Great Spirits, it just seems to fit. And Cúseagcur would feel maybe because (I hope I'm reading this right) they captured him since they decided they don't want him to claim they owe him anything?
Sorry if that's completely unhelpful ><

Hmm, this is a tough one. ^^; I don't know whether the filly should live or die. If she lives, then there's still the question of whether Cuseagcur knows this.
If the filly escaped and she has known this all along, I think it would be a bit harder to explain her long wait; perhaps, as you said, she couldn't find a way, or she was afraid of endangering the filly -- but then what changes to finally allow her to escape?
Maybe she believes her daughter is dead, but she stays with the Named in a depression, lacking the will to leave. Perhaps she learns that her daughter actually survived -- but how? (Seeds drifting on the wind? XD A network of chipmunk spies? ...Ahem, yeah, probably not.) Maybe Seolselb just manages to convince her to move on and find a new life somewhere else -- that could work whether the daughter is secretly alive or really dead.
I don't know if that's helpful at all; I can't even decide which one I prefer. ^^;
