Hey, I've seen a handful of good sequels to Disney movies. Nobody tell me that Leroy & Stitch wasn't good, or else I'll call Mason de Lunes (the nuthouse from the Beauty and the Beast movie) on you!
In response to one post, it would be nice to actually meet Bucky the cub who dared Koda to lick an icicle, got lost with him digging for roots, and found the world's biggest pine nut (even bigger than Kenai's head!) with him.

it's kind of about a man... and kind of about a bear. But mostly it's about a monster.

the first and second movie where are brothership and love, but more accurately on Kenai and Nita and the Spirits. Im thinking if this T.V. series does come up it will deal with Koda a lot more...maybe even an "older" Koda or Kenai... To me...Kenai's story is over...he became a man and his conflict was resolved...Koda's conflict was solved by getting a brother, but he is still so young that he will have more conflicts to face... Thats my opinion anywho...maybe it will be called brother bear but they do a cheap hash of the first one and put the man to bear(other transformation) on another village soon to be adult but series wise...i hope they dont do that though...otherwise it might suck

AWSOME! A Brother Bear TV show would be awsome, but I see a few steps back for Disney. Brandy and Mr. Whiskers wasn't what you would call "The best of quality," but the origanality and humor of the characters made the show COMPLETLY awsome, for me at least.
If they were to use the animation they used for "Lilo and Stich," then I would see a problem in the show it's self. But, if they worked on the animtion quality a tad, mabey, just mabey, it would stand to be a truly great show! ^_^
That's what I think anyway, but I'm not a fan of episodes that are random, and don't continue each other in a story. But then that brings back up the subject and Brandy & Mr. Whickers... Lol.

From what I've witnessed, random episodes bring out more possibilities for mini-storylines. Without a pain plot to go by, there's more freedom. But this would create a bigger chance of loopholes, in my opinion. Things could happen in different episodes that can contradict each other.
Episodes that continue off of each other, something that you would see in a show that is much more plot-driven, would lessen, or destroy, any chances of loopholes, and the show is more...what's the term...under control? Anyway, this creates another problem, I think. I can't see a show that continues off from another to have too many episodes, and episodes that always continue off of the past one would make it difficult, in my opinion, to introduce some ministorylines. It would probably force the writers to pick one plot that'll last entire seasons, which I don't think is a very easy task.
So the way I see it, neither choice is without its flaws.

Episodes which continue off of the other can provide you with storyline twists and surprises! On normal, random episode shows, they expect you to know everything about the character, and newly introduced characters are the same...
I don't really like it.

Episodes that are more random can do the exact same thing you know. A TV show does not need to have a strict storyline. Sometimes random episodes are a better choice, especially if the show is meant to be humorous.
I'm not saying I don't like strict storylines. But I don't think BB will do well with such a concept.

I have to agree here. A continuous storyline works great for a show like Avatar, but a Brother Bear series doesn't seem suited to that type of storytelling. I would hope for something more like Legend of Tarzan, which did have continuity, introducing new elements and characters gradually, but kept each episode as a self-contained story.
Another example would be Pirates of Dark Water. There was an overall plot, and continuity between episodes, but you didn't really need to see one to understand the next.

Does anyone know what happened to the TV series plan? Or have i missed a lot?
I would really be glad if they actually had any further plans for Brother bear. For example a sequel for Toy Story 3 will come in 2010 after what i saw on imdb.
So there might be a hope?

Unfortunately we've been through years after Brother Bear 2 with no further announcements of the TV series. I think it's safe to assume that the TV series has been canned. And with Disney's new policy about no longer making direct-to-DVD sequels, we might not see anything new anymore about Brother Bear. Unless of course they're planning on making theater quality sequels, I'm afraid the Brother Bear saga has come to an end along with other Disney movies and brands.

But of course we will just have to wait and see and hope for the best. The last Toy Story movie was release in 1999, so we might have to wait till 2012-2016 to see what they'll find out
