I want to make this digital artwork with all of the characters of Brother Bear in 1 big group pose. This is going to take a while for me to finish, but what the heck, it's about time I did something big again. I just started sketching Kenai. I'm not done with him yet, but just to give you an idea of how it will look like. If you have any ideas, tips or suggestions, please let me know.

Could someone move this to Disney's Brother Bear - Fanart please? All right, I'll move it to its appropriate category.

whoo.. Cool.. Did you make it yourself? I mean you drew it manually or using any editing-program?

@ yaro: He has a fat head, remember? Just ask Koda! @ 21aLfOx: This is drawn on an A4 sheet in my sketchbook. I'm going to do digital lineart/painting of it though, together with all the other characters I'm going to draw. @ Jasper: Yes... that's what you get for being a perfectionist. ^^;

czarinewow.. So you're using a kinda scanner to convert it into .jpg file ? to put it into computer ? Am I right? That's cool.. So another Deviant's artist used the same way as just you did ? Draw sketch, Scan and put it into computer, Then do any further editing via Photoshop , Corel , etc etc Because i'm wondering how could they make all of those art without drawing it manually..

Most digital art is made with a pen tablet, like this: cache.gizmodo.com/assets/images/4/2007/12/cintiq12_gizmodo.flv.jpgIt's a tablet that you connect to your PC and then you can use a special pen instead of a mouse. There are also versions with screens on it, like the image I just posted. I have such a tablet, but it's broken atm. Pen pressure is messed up, it starts drawing while I'm not even touching the pen tablet, just hovering above it with my pen. So, until I get myself a better tablet, I'll have to do it the traditional way first.

@ yaro: He has a fat head, remember? Just ask Koda! Hahah, really ;D I just have chosen between Wacom Bamboo and Wacom Intuos for work with ZBrush, but after your post I decided to buy Wacom Intuos3 6х8 х) It's a much better choice for ZBrush. Cintiq is amazing and really great thing (:

You're so lucky! I want to buy that one too! But for me it's 2000$ dollars! I don't even have more than 30$ dollars. X3 It's $2000 for the large, 21" screen; the 12" is $1000. Still quite steep, yes, but half the cost is nothing to sneeze at. I'm fortunate enough to own a 12", and it is the perfect size for my work. I originally thought that getting it because of its price would be settling for less, but I was pleasantly surprised. Any larger and I'd need a bigger desk to fit both monitors; I wouldn't recommend using the Cintiq as your sole monitor, as its only downside is the colors are not entirely accurate. It works best in a dual-monitor workspace. So yes, it's still expensive, but if you manage to save up for one, I would recommend choosing the 12" over the 21". :3 Anyway, you can never go wrong with a Wacom, whichever kind you choose. :3 They're absolutely wonderful.
