In my opinion, this movie is awesome. Interesting, bright, fantastic and very kind cartoon. Honestly, I don't very like 3D, especially from Dreamworks, but this movie is unusual for DW. And I can say much more, I actually love "How to Train Your Dragon", but...just watch it yourself)
P.S. Toothless is so cute^^

I didn't know it's out already. I haven't even seen any form of advertising for it here yet. I'll watch a cam if I must, because I am seriously interested.

If it got released on the same day as in the USA there, it's probably because they're like half a day ahead of time for America. Timezones ftw...

In Russia nobody waited for this movie, but when "HtTYD" was released it was earth-shattering. I think this is one of the best animated movies of the past few years. I recommend everyone watch "How to Train Your Dragon", don't miss it)

The trailers that I've seen of it didn't really grab my attention. But if it's as good as you guys are making it out to be, perhaps I should give it a try and go see it.

To be honest I really don't know what to expect. Quite some people I know say it's good, but...
Oh well. Can't really tell before I've given it a try. ^^

Of course, that's just my opinion. And sorry for my strong emotions)
About trailers - this is one of those cases when a trailer looks worse than the movie actually turns out)

I must say I saw this On Friday and it was a very good movie. The score the plot even the unexpected twist at the end of the movie will have you going wow! So, yeah I definitely recommend this movie to anyone.

Okay... I had my doubts, but honestly: this movie is a masterpiece. By far Dreamwork's best, even better than the avarage Pixar movie! This movie also uses the so-called 'plot mirroring device' quite well. It's full of contradictions, actually. The whole movie is 1 big contradiction; exactly the opposite of what you think it is, and even the characters receive exactly the opposite of what they expect to get, experience and feel. It's beautiful. If someone would have come to me 2~3 months ago and told me Dreamworks would deliver a masterpiece like this, I would have tied him to a mast and shipped him off, for he had gone mad! (see what I did thar? :3) Go see it if you haven't seen it yet. DVD release is in July.

I have seen trailers and I have to say...this movie as thumbs down for me extremely bad.I don't have to watch the movie to get on this...but seeing the trailer..nah..worst ever from Dreamworks. A masterpiece?? Really?? More like a disasterpiece from Dreamworks.Heck,I'd say Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron was better then this boring movie any day of the week, and I like dragons, but this movie..nah uh...almost ruins the dragons for me at all. 10 Thumbs Down

What the hell, Oreius? You have no business judging the movie at all if you're not going to watch it. Why on earth do you hate it so much, anyway?

Yes,its true I haven't seen the movie itself, but I HAVE seen the trailer. And I don't hate the movie,I just don't like it.I find it bland and no good just by seeing the trailer for it.
Worst movie for 2010 without a doubt though.

"Worst movie for 2010 without a doubt", "10 thumbs down" (uh, hey man, where'd you get eight extra thumbs anyhow? ), "almost ruins dragons"...sure sounds like you hate it. If your feelings are not as extreme as you're making them sound, it's time to tone down the hyperbole. Either way, you can't be sure the movie is as bad as you think without seeing it. That doesn't mean you have to see a film that you don't think you'll like, but as long as you refuse to see it, you are in no position to call it the worst film of the year -- or to call it anything but a film you have not seen. And even if it doesn't appeal to you, that does not make it a terrible movie. Obviously it's your choice and your right to skip seeing it, but you should at least do so knowing that you have chosen to judge a ninety-eight minute film based on two and a half minutes of scenes that have been taken out of context, cut, spliced and mashed together to make a trailer based on whatever the marketing people thought would sell. Though the trailer succeeded in grabbing my interest, it still made the film appear kind of cliched, and the TV spots have even been somewhat tacky, so when I saw the movie itself, I was very pleasantly surprised; it far exceeded my expectations. The ads do not, in any way, do justice to this beautiful movie. In short, you are entitled to remain closed-minded and ignorant and miss out on this great film if that really makes you happy, but you really have no business posting in any thread about it if you are not going to be respectful enough to even see it before passing your judgment on it. We're barely halfway through 2010, so it's a little early to make that call anyway. "Trolls exist! They steal your socks. But only the left ones...what's up with that?"
