Have any one here read the book Watership Down or watched the 1978 film or the t.v. series version. It's a good book and movie about rabbits.

I've heard of it but I've never read or seen the TV series. I heard it's a good book and a classic.

I bought the DVD 2007 to FINALLY see this movie xD I only knew bits and pieces because we used to own it on DVD, but before I could watch it my parents must have realized what it was and recorded Asterix over it. So whenever the commercial break was cut out I saw a little snippit of the movie - nothing bad of it.
And when I saw it, I gotta say it was emotional but in no way terrifying of anything. I suppose I simply lack the "childhood trauma" a lot of people have with this movie, because children see movies differently and therefore remember them... differently.
The only thing that I noticed was that - other to the actually sad ending where I normally would have cried maybe - I felt... utterly nothing. Because the ending is one of the scenes that remained on my Asterix VHS. They lacked any context, so they didn't really hold anything sad for me, and when I saw it again in-movie it *shrug* was "familiar" Like seeing Mufasa die for the 50th time - no I'm not one of the persons who cried there.
I did cry on Koda's Mom however, which is why I tried to avoid watching Brother Bear as often as possible as not to grow cold to it =>

It sure is a classic, Even though it did traumatized a lot of people when they watched it as kids. But however it didn't scard me that much really, All it did was left some disturbing scenes in my head for more than 12 years (I was around 6 or 7 when i first watched it) like for examle the scene in the were Gen. Woundwort rips blackavar throat out or the scene when Fiver has a vision of the field covered in blood with the creepy music in the backgroud and a bunch of other scene. But it is still a great novel and film even though the t.v. series was not that great because they turn it into a kids show. By the way there is a AMV I found youtube that you can watch. here the link. But beware of violence content on this AMV. www.youtube.com/watch?v=_5I9izys2ekOr if you don't like violence here a alternative, a AMV i made without the violence please enjoy. www.youtube.com/watch?v=NIo5tcvfLo0Oh by the have any one here heard the song " Bright Eyes" by Art Garfunkel. It is the theme song for the Watership Down movie. And yes the end of the movie did brought tears to my eyes when I watched the movie again about 2 years ago and I'm 19. You don't see movies like this often. please post you options, Thank you.
