Rather than flood the section with my characters, I think I’ll just use one thread (though I will use seperate posts to make it easier to read). So here it is, the updated profiles for all of my characters, complete with background information and voice samples. Enjoy. Name: EbonyPatriot (Ebenum-Patrios) Age: Three years old Gender: Male Species: Troodon Scientific name: Troodon borealisName origin: Patriot from his mother's loved homeland; Ebony to mark that he's one of the unusual Troodons expressing both black and silver without the blue-gray modifier Voice: Mark Hamill Voice sample: markhamill.com/sounds/brotj-wu.wavwww.youtube.com/watch?v=GL-G9GwA-KE&feature=relmfu (:48) Bio: The oldest son of the submissive Kermode and the more fiery Aquilae, the pack leaders, EbonyPatriot lived a pretty quiet youth chasing the deer. Kermode’s family had always lived in the region, while his mother Aquilae was from what is now called the US. Aquilae named Patriot in honor of her homeland, land of her sires; after he turned a year old and shed his natal silver coat to show a black-and-silver coat, she renamed him EbonyPatriot. The troodon’s life was set to be rather uneventful until he saw a young wolverine attacking a pup. Upset, it occurred to Patriot that perhaps he should get his parents; and indeed, by doing so he would have been able to stop Tazer from likely ever attacking again. But he was too impulsive and attacked the wolverine himself. It almost killed him, but his parents were able to save him. The troodon came to value pack and loyalty; and though he’d rather not admit to his friends, knows it was his fault Tazer too learned the value of the pack. EbonyPatriot is at the age when he's focused on helping with the pack and not quite ready to strike off on his own with a new mate or challenge his parents. EbonyPatriot had been confident in the pack to protect against Tazer and was terrified to see it overcome. Now that he’s returned, will the pack prove strong enough to defeat the Wolverine? Personality: EbonyPatriot is a rather arrogant and hot-tempered fellow. He’s active and can be gentle, but can also be harsh, distant and aggressive. What he does care about, he cares for greatly. Impulsive and stubborn, he nevertheless does want the best for everyone. EbonyPatriot worries a lot, but is not above joking around, with the other never quite knowing what will come next. The troodon has enough guilt to feel bad when he’s done something wrong, not quite enough to stop him before he does again Description: Slim yet strong jaws, long neck, round head; white coloring his eyebrows, tail-tip, tip of his toes, and sides of his long muzzle. Silver dorsal mark (starting midway between his eyes and coloring down to his tail-tip) Terrible serrated-edged curved teeth; sky-blue large eyes slashed by cat's-pupils. Deep chest marked with a white spot in the center; strong, long forepaws with four digits; bipedal. Strong legs stand directly beneath him; the second toe on each foot is raised in a sickle (though not as strong nor deadly as a Raptor’s); his tail is muscular and as long as his head and neck put together. EbonyPatriot's whole body is covered in thick, new-moon-black (shot through with white hairs) fur. The extra-long fur on his head and neck forms a crest and mane that can be easily flattened; thick, shaggy fur over whole body. When EbonyPatriot fully matures at five years old, his eyes will become two-colored (with emerald ‘frosting’), his crest will grow out, his paws will turn silver, he’ll get a white streak on his nose and ‘feathering’ for his tail and limbs. Sire: Kermode (From the Kermode bears, a white subspecies of black bear) Dame: Wôpsukuhq (Aquilae) ("Bald eagle" in Mohegan; aquilae is Latin for 'eagle') Brother: Wapiti (Ayôp) ("deer" in Mohegan) Sisters: Sky (Këöyate') ("Sky" in Mingo), Cat'sEye (Mishipishiu) ("lion" in Cree) Trivia: My first character. I've been obsessed with troodons ever since I played a computer game with them. For a while, my main character was a troodon with markings from a painting I had seen (white with a blue dorsal streak). Than I wanted him to more unique and so made him black with a white mark on his chest and white on either side of the muzzle. I was interested in the Revolutionary War, so I named him Patriot. When I wrote my first fic, I decided to take the name EbonyPatriot. Notes: Inspired by Albert Payson Terhune, Sunnybank Gray Dawn, Bolt. Troodons= Thicker builds and shaggier than their ancestors, with silky fur in place of feathers. Since they live in colder weather, they are much larger: the size of a cougar, not a cheetah. They feed mainly on mule deer and live in related packs. Like birds, gender is not XX for female and XY for male; but ZW for female and ZZ for male. Black and silver are both epistatic colors carried on the Z chromosomes and are codominant. A female will remain either black or silver, while a male can express both at the same time; usually however, in both cases the blue-gray modifier changes the fur color to blue-gray instead. Recessive troodons are white; blue-gray is an independent modifier and can go with either of the genes (patches of the base color sometimes show up in the areas of thinner fur). Red-brown is dominant, gold is heterozygous. White marks can occur on the face, brow, toes, throat, chest and tail-tip. Females have three black or white bands across their backs, males do not. Females are also slightly smaller with slightly smaller fangs. Eye color can be blue or gold. A close-knit pack is needed to catch the deer while avoiding being caught by larger carnivores themselves, thus troodons prefer to settle their difference while young. Fights however, can be common using their claws (usually when fighting for mates will males use their terrible teeth against each other, or against a stranger) and can leave damaging wounds. Claws are used to settling more important matters than body language, and teeth are the most terrible and serious weapons. Leadership is often family-based.

Name: Tazer Age: Three years old Gender: Male Species: Wolverine Scientific name: Gulo gulo luscus Name Origin: From the taser stun gun. Voice: George C. Scott Voice sample: www.youtube.com/watch?v=9U6oqFCE440&feature=relatedBio: Tazer was born to the dominant pair, the male and female Tlęzáá and Sëksu. Though he was neither their first or last kit, his normally standoffish parents doted on him more than their other kits. The young wolverine was always an ill-tempered sociopath and tried to kill a young pup that had wandered onto his land. The then silver Patriot (not until he became a yearling did his coat turn black, earning him the modifier), who should have gotten his pack right away and thus, may well have so intimated the kit he would leave the pups alone, instead attacked. Though the troodon’s parents saved Patriot, Tazer knew he had almost won. Building on how his parents benefited from the surrounding wolverines’ support, he realized the success he could have if he had a pack to back him up. But wolverines need much space to hunt enough to live. Tazer had never cared for the inferior wolves and bears, but now they prevented him from allowing wolverines to live in large numbers. With the bears and wolves gone, all wolverines could find enough food on smaller land and exist as packs- with Tazer in charge. So Tazer will stop at nothing to kill off the rivals. Personality: Yet despite this, he can be quite charismatic; yet the only hint of affection or indeed, compassion he feels is towards Ferrum and his kits. Like many sociopaths, Tazer, despite his aggression and ill temper, doesn’t quite go out of his way to attack non wolves or bears, but if it is to his advantage, he has no qualms about killing them. Tazer knows that if he sires kits from carefully selected mates the kits can be better still than himself and excellent fighters. Tazer cares for nothing else but himself and enjoys others’ pain. Tazer’s selfish, but pleasant enough when things go his way. He’s not terribly trustworthy, but generally he’s upfront about his plans. Tazer’s sulky and savage, true he won’t do things without a reason- but the reason need only be for his benefit. Description: This large wolverine is four and a half feet long, twenty-five inches at the shoulder and eighty pounds in weight. Blond brows, forehead and cheek. Small streak of the darker fur between the brows like Kapvik but thicker. Earth yellow on brown and on ears. Gold from ribs, across upper legs, color root of short bushy tail. Bistre-brown saddle. Rest dark chocolate brown. Small white mark on chest. Like all wolverines, has a heavy build, large head, small round ears, dark fur underneath body and tail, and massive limbs. Eyes dark, almost black and ringed with red. Sire: Sëksu “black” in Lenape (for his coloring). Dame: Tlęzáá “dog” in Beaver (she fought off a husky when she was a kit) Mate: Ferrum Offspring: Kapvik (son), Waahkuuhtaan (daughter) Trivia: My villain. The name comes from my original stories where I had decided to use the name Tazer for a grizzly. When I joined the boards, I wanted a bad guy. Wolverines have always been favorite of mine. In addition, since at the time most of the players had either wolf or bear characters, I figured having Tazer being set against them would make him an easy and interesting villain. Notes: Inspired by the villain from the book "Killing Mr. Griffin;" (hence his original voice actor) and Loomis; further personality based on the Brad Paisley song "Alcohol." Wolverine= Small but incredibly savage. In real life, huge territories (each wolverine needs a large amount of space to survive) tend to consist of a dominant male overlapping with several female ranges, whom he guards. Females have kits each year, a rival male will kill any kit not his. In addition, females will often kill kits. For the role-play, however the center best territory is ruled by the dominant pair, while the lesser pairs, though they enjoy some protection, must live on the outskirts. Still others have no territory but roam; these are often ones looking to take over. Some dominants, like the roamers, are gentle and will support the submissive wolverines; some will ignore them; and some will go out of their way to attack.

Name: Tyonek Age: Five years old Gender: Male Species: Barren ground caribou Scientific name: Rangifer tarandus Name Origin: Tyonek is a city in Alaska. Voice: Toby Keith Voice sample: www.youtube.com/user/TobyKeithVEVO#p/u/22/DWrMeBR8W-c www.youtube.com/user/TobyKeithVEVO#p/u/24/OIjsSu_I4Sowww.youtube.com/user/TobyKeithVEVO#p/u/12/nOd2NuHgwewBio: The chief of his herd, Tyonek has been leader for a few years now, like his sire was before. (The dominant and chief are different stags: a dominant stag has the most mates and gets the best resting places, while a chief walks point, helps decide where to go, etc. As such, there is more competition for dominant than chief). Tyonek helped save EbonyPatriot from Tazer as a kit and thinks of the Troodon as his fawn. Tyonek led his herd north not long after helping the Troodon and has been in quite a few adventures. The right foreleg was torn by a griffin on one of those adventures, but has healed so well he barely limps. Personality: A very relaxed caribou. He’s a pretty devoted father and even shows some affection for young predators, although his over calm nature often gets him in danger. He’s easily amused by things and can be both silly and impressive at the same time. He’s rather proud though and not above showing off. Despite this, he's still very much a tough, don't-mess-with me guy when need be. Description: Tyonek is six feet high at the shoulder (tall for a caribou) and eight feet from nose to tail. Broad, cloven, black, spongy hooves contrast with his white 'feathering' and socks. Body is that of the tall, lengthy caribou, framed with shaggy hair. His fur is chrome colored (save for his snowy neck- and even that has silver coloring on the spinal cord) with white undersides and around his eyes. Tyonek's antlers are over three-and-a-half feet high and his liquid eyes are dark and curious. Sire: Mekoryuk (city in Alaska) Dame: Kaktovik (city in Alaska) Mate: Minto (city in Alaska) Offspring: Tuktu (son) Trivia: Tyonek was originally from a very bad fanfic and is older than all of my role-play characters save EbonyPatriot; which, since EbonyPatriot was originally supposed to be an original character, makes him the oldest fan character I still use. In case you're wondering, the main parts of his personality- the fearlessness and humor, plus the gruff voice, have stayed intact. Notes: Inspired by Lochinvar Bobbie and Sunnybank Wolf. Caribou= Roamers in huge herds feeding on lichen. They usually are not monogamous, although Tyonek and his young son Tuque are; these two prefer to focus on being leaders, knowing how vulnerable the caribou are during the mating season in particular. Tyonek’s mate Minto is secretly proud to be able to bond with her mate; the other females are not.

Name: Ferrum Age: Three years old Gender: Female Species: Wolverine Scientific name: Gulo gulo luscus Name Origin: "Iron" in Latin Voice: Rachel Lillis Voice sample: www.youtube.com/watch?v=yJRpMUocUD8 (:31) Bio: Balatro, Ferrum and Belladonna were the offspring of lower ranking wolverines when they encountered Tazer on a hunt. Ferrum impressed Tazer with her beauty and fighting ability, and the two become mates. Ferrum was killed by Red defending Kapvik. Personality: Ferrum is not quite as devoted to Tazer as he is to her, but will always take his side in any fights. She can't stand Thunderia, partly out of jealousy and partly because she turned down her beloved mate. Flighty and aggressive, she's hot-tempered and quick to fight. Description: Beige than caramel darkened top of head Auburn brown eyes down to muzzle, throat and limbs. Burnt umber from ears, shoulder, tail tip saddle. Saffron framed pale mustard-colored streaks from behind forelimbs, ¾ ribs, from knee to hip, all but final third of tail. Ferrum is slightly larger than average female wolverine, with the normal heavy build, large head, small round ears, dark fur underneath body and tail, and massive limbs (although she is considered sleek by wolverine eyes). Tail thin and ragged. White snip like owl on snout and small white patch on chest. Eyes are golden brown. Sire: Praelio from Praelior- Latin for “to battle” Dame: Tungsten (Wolfram)- element. Wolfram is another name for Tungsten. Offspring: Kapvik (son) Brother: Balatro Sister: Belladonna Trivia: Ferrum's been around for almost as long as Tazer has to be his mate. Notes: Inspired by Sunnybank Lady

Name: Kapvik Age: Eight months old Gender: Male Species: Wolverine Scientific name: Gulo gulo luscus Name Origin: "Wolverine" in Canadian-Inuit. Voice: Jeff Bennett Voice sample: www.youtube.com/watch?v=9_zPg6K1ZQ4 (213, 228) Bio: Tazer's son by Ferrum. Ferrum was killed when Kapvik was only a few days old. Tazer broke off his attack on EbonyPatriot to care for him. The females in Tazer's pack couldn't nurse him (few Wolverines are born in fall). In desperation Turgor and the Wolverines were able to find Sokuyôn, her own kit killed by Ukuhtishkui. Tazer forced her to raise Kapvik as a thank-you for killing the rival. Though close to Sokuyôn, Kapvik was always uneasy. When Kapvik was a few months old, Tazer mated with Sokuyôn and produced Waahkuuhtaan. This little sister touched Kapvik and he's since spent his life protecting her. Personality: With his mother dead, the quiet Kapvik has learned to remain indifferent to things and keep to himself. The young wolverine can be quite gentle and caring for those weaker than himself, but the rest of the world he feels indifferent about and lives rather quiet life. Waahkuuhtaan actually makes him get in more fights than he otherwise would. Kapvik’s aggression and fighting skills match Tazer's at the same age, despite his smaller size. Kapvik still has Ferrum’s impatience and disdain. Description: Seal brown face. Thin between beige heavy brows, center of forehead. Wheat from ears to end of skull; then across shoulders. Gold framed by ochre lower curves ribs, across upper part of hind leg. Black saddle and limbs. White mark on chest like a bird in flight. Kapvik is only slightly larger than normal male. Very shaggy fur. Coloring dark-chocolate like a bald eagle. Eyes very dark brown, yellowish whites. Long shaggy tail. Like all wolverines, has a heavy build, large head, small round ears, dark fur underneath body and tail, and massive limbs. Sire: Tazer Dame: Ferrum Sister: Waahkuuhtaan (half-sister) Trivia: Kapvik's been around for quite a while. I had finally role-played him at Nakia's boards and loved how much Waahkuuhtaan's interactions shaped him. I had always wanted to be indifferent personality wise, but I love how he responds to Waahkuuhtaan. Notes: Inspired by Sunnybank Explorer

Name: Waahkuuhtaan (pronounced Wahkoatawn) Age: One month old Gender: Female Species: Wolverine Scientific name: Gulo gulo luscus Name Origin: "Hail storm" in Cree Voice: Tara Strong Voice sample: www.disney.co.uk/DisneyDVDs/DVDs/the-little-mermaid-2-return-to-the-sea.jsp (:14 :37 :46) Bio: Tazer and Sokuyôns moody daughter, born when Kapvik is older. Ideally, Tazer wanted a kit with his skills, aggression and size; and Sokuyôn’s coloring, gentle temper and fearlessness. Kapvik has normally distanced himself from things, perhaps just him, perhaps from his mother’s death, perhaps from never quite knowing if Tazer’s paternal affections will protect him, perhaps all three. But this little half-sister encourages protective feelings. Kapvik would do anything to protect his half-sister, and she him. Waahkuuhtaan has no fear of her ill-tempered sire, but is torn by her differing loyalties. Both are close to her mother, Sokuyôn. Personality: She’s even bolder than either parent, but lacks her sire’s power, though she has his aggression. Still, she’s better tempered then him, but again, not as good-tempered as her dame. Though she rather bosses her older brother around, she looks up to him and admires him. The clash of bloodlines, parenting and frankly, mood at that moment leads her to act alternatively friendly and alternatively aggressive. Description: Black face, limbs, half of tail, throat. Wheat huge pointed brow. Buff start from point of shoulder on throat, across forearm, 1/3 ribs and belly, hip to keeps, colors root of tail. Dark burnt umber otherwise. Pale taupe paws ice-blue eyes. Like all wolverines, has a heavy build, large head, small round ears, dark fur underneath body and tail, and massive limbs. Sire: Tazer Dame: Sokuyôn Brother: Kapvik (half-brother) Trivia: I had never intended to play her at this board. But after I started playing her at Nakia's board, I loved her personality and the effect she has on Thunderia and Tazer, but especially Kapvik. Of course, she has her own part to play too. Notes: Inspired by Fair Play

Name: Sokuyôn Age: Three years old Gender: Female Species: Wolverine Scientific name: Gulo gulo luscus Name Origin: "Rain" in Mohegan Voice: Cree Summer Voice sample: www.youtube.com/watch?v=D6zk8Db7glk&feature=related (1409) Bio: Sokuyôn and Thunderia were also the result of lower-ranking wolverines. Though both have sunny dispositions, Sokuyôn is more focused on survival. Impressed by their unusual markings, Tazer invited both to come. Sokuyôn refused, in no small part because she wanted to stay and have her own family. The more adventurous Thunderia joined up. Sokuyôn chose a gentle if over-dignified and submissive male, Me'shktenye', as her mate. Their dominant male Wiyipishaau (“dark pelt” in Cree) was killed by the outsider Ukuhtishkui (“throat” in Cree); in the fury of the attack the dominant female Kuihkuhaachaau (“wolverine” in Cree) is killed. Furious at himself, Ukuhtishkui killed Sokuyôn’s mate Me'shktenye' and kit Me’gwaowiboni to at least get something out of the territory. Tazer soon arrived and killed Ukuhtishkui and insisted that Sokuyôn raise his orphaned kit, Kapvik. Personality: Sokuyôn can be, and is, as sunny as her sister. However, she worries a lot, is quite suspicious and very focused on survival. She’s quite opinionated, but will wait until pressed to say so; then watch out. Sokuyôn is gentle and compassionate to the weak, but very ill tempered to those who she thinks can and should fend for themselves. Sokuyôn has a strong sense of honor and despite her claims, is shaken by cruelty. Like Kapvik, she’s got quite some armor of hers when needed. Description: Bistre face and throat. White streak across chest. Bistre saddle, limbs, chest. Crown, ears. Fawn blaze from tops brows to start ears, side of throat, across shoulder, loops down side. Tan paws, ice-blue eyes. White snip on nose. Very shaggy. Like all wolverines, has a heavy build, large head, small round ears, dark fur underneath body and tail, and massive limbs. Sire: Metuguna'q “storm” in Mikmaq) Dame: Tekalômsen “cold wind” in Abenaki Sister: Thunderia Mate: Me'shktenye' “red-tailed hawk” in Potawatomi Offspring: Me'gwaowiboni (daughter) “it will snow some more” in Potawatomi Trivia: I've had Sokuyôn's design for a while now, as well the idea of her as Thunderia's sister. It was only recently that I decided to get her more involve in Tazer's life. Her name was originally Sokanon. Notes: Inspired by Black-Pale, Sunnybank Lad and Man o' War

Name: Loki Age: Five years old Gender: Male Species: Common raven Scientific name: Corvus coraxName Origin: Originally a character from the film Voice: Frank Welker Voice sample: www.youtube.com/watch?v=tHxKnJTeTUw (:16) www.youtube.com/watch?v=vDvSxxK0b4o&feature=plcp&context=C4c79956VDvjVQa1PpcFPrc8jNd-PMGs90Mo_8Amib_sUiZTtERjI= (4:02) (a combination of those two voices). Bio: Tanana’s pet raven. She found him injured as a nestling after a young Bering the raccoon had bitten him and nursed him back to health; when he was old enough to leave the nest at three months old, he came to live with her. Loki mainly serves as her translator and mischief-maker. Personality: Loki enjoys mischief; although clever, he prefers to just act silly and tell jokes. So he tends to come as rather annoying and loves repeating and correcting people, despite his relative good nature and love of Tanana. The raven never quite learned those people skills. Description: Pitch-black feathers with a very large beak and dark brown eyes. The thick feathers around his neck never quite grew back where Bering bit him. In addition, the remaining feathers around his neck are long, even for a raven and his left foot doesn't close right but is a bit crooked. Both Loki's head and under his wings are a shade or two darker black than the rest of his body. Sire: Awahili (Awohali) Cherokee for “eagle” Dame: Sespematl “talks noisily” in Migmaq Stepdaughter: Tokala Trivia: Loki is not my character but Disney's, just like Bucky and Murri. In Brother Bear: A Transformation Tale, there's a sketch of Tanana with her pet raven, Loki, that was dropped out of production. Loki's character wasn't given however, in fact, nothing beyond the name and rough design. Notes: Inspired by Sunnybank Treve, Zat, and Sunnybank Sandstorm. Character deleted from the film.

Name: Tokala (Tok’adi) Age: Three years old Gender: Female Species: Vispilio's dracovol Scientific name: Dracovolo dracovolo vispilioName Origin: Tok’adi is 'eagle' in lower Tanana; Tokala is from a baby names book Voice: Kristen Chenoweth Voice sample: www.youtube.com/watch?v=pksn3ufx38A&feature=related (1:41, 2:15) Bio: A mischievous dracovol, she became lost as a youngster and was found and raised by Loki. She turned out even worst than him. Tokala currently roams alone, only occasionally visiting her stepfather. Personality: While Loki at least knows when it’s time to get serious, Tok'adi (or Tokala, as she likes to be called) never does, save for when she needs to fly away. Like Loki, she means no harm; unlike Loki, she doesn’t even try to analyze before acting. She doesn’t actually mean harm; she’s just stubborn, quick-tempered and doesn’t stop to think about others. A playful, restless trickster, Tokala delights in other's bafflement and anger. Yet despite this, when one is truly in pain, she will give everything to help them (even if that sad one doesn't want her). Tokala is type to steal your food simply to frustrate you; then return it unharmed. Despite these contradictions, she is a loyal Vispilio's Dracovol- to those who can put up with her idiosyncrasies, that is. Description: Unlike a true Dracovol, the Vispilio race has proportions one can only describe as coyote-like. Her head is the troodon's (albeit with a wider muzzle) as is her tail. Her wings are not dragon's, but like an eagle's in form. If one looks close enough, it can be discovered that the non-bony part of her wings are really fused flight feathers. Warm, thick downy feathers make up most of Tokala's body (although she does not appear very scruffy). Five feathers crown the 'crest' of her skull. Her normal stance is that of a quadruped, with five digits in the front of her somewhat human-like paws, five at the back. Her main coloring is an iron gray. Tan streaks down her muzzle and colors her brows. White streaks her underbelly, starting where here head joins her throat and ending at the black tip of her tail. Three thin, white streaks slash her back; the non-bony parts of her wings are also this color. Dark chocolate colors her forelegs from where the forearm joins the lower arm to her wrists; on her hind legs, the dark chocolate stretches from the middle of her lower legs to her ankles. Black 'stockings" stretched from ivory claws to the wrists/ankles. Her eyes are jade green. Sire: Sentsiyh lower Tanana for “nose” Dame: Ketiwa "eagle" in Sak and Fox; Waya Cherokee for “coyote” Trivia: A subspecies of Ken'ichi's dracovol species. She was originally created for my Anastasia parody to serve as a love-interest for Rex (and was inspired by Dimitri in that same film). When I was camping, I decided to flesh her out more by RPing her. That said, please note that for the RP, she is NOT Rex's love-interest. Notes: Inspired by Sunnybank King Coal. The Vispilio Dracovol was the ancestor of the phoenix, which accounts for Tokala's obsession with fire (although, unlike the firebirds, flames can kill her).

Name: Makoktok Age: Five years old Gender: Male Species: Musk oxen Scientific name: Ovibos moschatus mochatus Name Origin: “Young” in Canadian-Inuit. Voice: Paul Kendel Voice sample: www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZCz0AXvQlLA (52) Bio: Like Loki, Tanana helped save him when he was a calf by mending his leg after he broke it when a cow musk oxen struck him. Unlike Loki, Makoktok stayed with his herd and eventually became leader. Despite how sulky he acts around Tanana, he loves Tanana as much as Loki and follows her every command. Personality: A vain musk oxen. He’s as gentle as the rest of the herd, but frankly would rather not show it and instead acts aggressive and sulky. Though he often acts fierce, he will normally follow Tanana’s every command. Description: A huge shaggy chocolate-brown bull, his dorsal side is faded silver (like his legs) and deadly curving horns tipped with ebon. Makoktok's nape is a faded silver and eyes are near black. A patch of pale fur on his muzzle stretches up to his nose, but this can only be seen when close. Sire: Kiiurpok “bores” in Inuit Dame: Missikpok “jumps” in Inuit Trivia: Originally supposed to be a one-shot character Tanana would speak with (and based on the musk-oxen from the film). Epesi liked the idea of Tanana questioning the musk-oxen and I liked Makoktok, hence his later uses. Notes: Inspired by Sunnybank Sigurd and of course, the musk-oxen in the film.

Name: Turgor Age: Five years old Gender: Male Species: Pacific Thunderbird Scientific name: Argentavis magnificens tonui fulminis Name Origin: From turgor pressure, measure of pressure of a plant cell against the cell wall Voice: Darren Dunstan Voice sample: www.youtube.com/watch?v=4H4sNX71mmA&feature=related (05) www.youtube.com/watch?v=16Ags_XE9jI&feature=related (01) Bio: The second of four chicks; Turgor's from the Niagara Falls area. Turgor's parents spent so much energy raising their young that they both lost the iron from their wings. Turgor can understand why they'd raise him, but not his siblings. Turgor roamed after he was able to leave the nest and eventually joined up with Tazer. Personality: Turgor is hot-tempered and lazy. Though deep down there's some good, he’d rather not show it. Aggressive, he doesn’t hesitate to attack and is not to be trusted. Always feeling let down, he is given to temper tantrums. Ring-Of-Fire's pure brother is a polar opposite- evil, calculating, menacing. And yet somewhere within his black heart, goodness hibernates. But until the goodness awakens, only Turgor's tendency to leap before he looks can save his victims. Turgor's a free-lance villain and enjoys causing trouble for his own benefit. Description: A huge raptor, related to Marahute, the Great Golden Eagle from Rescuers Down Under (wingspan of over thirty feet, his body's twelve feet from beak to rump; his medium-length tail is three feet long). Turgor looks a lot like a bald eagle, with a large chest, powerful, medium length neck, crest like a harpy eagle’s, powerful claws and wings. Feathers on his muscular legs stop at his feet. Unlike eagle, his wings, like an owl, have plummels; unlike an owl, these are filled with iron. These, plus the deposit in the wing bones, enable them to stun mammoths and whales, plus producing the thunder-noise. Turgor’s long eagle-beak set in powerful jaws like all males has flint deposits that produce lightning. Black as the new moon, with blood-colored mask from brows, splintered down face, and ending at start of his throat. In addition, the bands on his crest, underside of his wings, chest and tail are the same shade of red. Chest is banded with white and eyes are fire-orange. Bill is tipped with black; beak and feet are beige. When he fully matures at twelve years old, he’ll grow a white mane from mask to shoulders, get golden tips to his wings and his feet and claws will be dusk-colored. Sire: Ketone Dame: Caldera Brother: Ring-Of-Fire Sisters: Ion and Alkali Trivia: My wicked Thunderbird character; his temper tantrums are very fun to write. Notes: Inspired by Adam M'Adam. Thunderbirds= Related to magnificent birds and more distantly, the great golden eagles. Thunderbirds are massive birds that ride the winds of storms and feed on whales and mammoths. Rain is a delight to them. Rather territorial, they warn off rivals with their wings-beats. Iron deposits in their owl-like feather and inside wings that enable them stun whales and mammoths with blows before the beak and claws can kill. This takes large muscles to power; an unhealthy thunderbird will loose its iron and must feed on carrion. Males have flint inside their beak that produces sparks of lightning to attract females and defend their young. A female is larger and robust than the males. Monogamous, pairs help defend the territory and raise the young. Thunderbirds come in four main colors: black, red, yellow, and blue-white. Male have fire-red eyes; females have ice-blue. Thunderbirds, as birds, have gender determined not by XX for female and XY for male like mammals; but ZZ for male and and ZW for female. Color is carried on the Z chromosome, but how it effects the bird depends on the gender. The male's main coloring is determined by the Z; the female's Z determines the color of only the mask. Black and orange-red are both carried on the Z chromosome, although orange-red is dominant to black. The other genes for body (in a female) or mask (in a male) are homozygous for domiant white, heterozygous for gold, and homozygous for reccesive scarlet red. Females always have ice-blue eyes, males have fire-red. An immature thunderbird has beige feet, while a mature thunderbird has dusk-colored feet, dark gold tips to its wings, and a white mane on its throat. A male's mane starts from the mask; a female's from the crest.

Name: Ring-OF-Fire Age: Five years old Gender: Male Species: Pacific Thunderbird Scientific name: Argentavis magnificens tonui fulminis Name Origin: From the Ring-Of-Fire, that fiery chain of volcanoes around the Pacific Voice: Dominic Nolfi Voice sample: www.youtube.com/watch?v=4H4sNX71mmA&feature=related (09) www.youtube.com/watch?v=pYbuSA34o8I (01) Bio: The youngest of the four chicks. Ring-Of-Fire never really fit in with his family and left as soon as he was able to, feeling guilty for his parent's weakened state and eager to help other creatures. Personality: Ring-Of-Fire is gentle, if stubborn and sulky at times. This kind-hearted thunderbird is determined to do only good. Tending to assume everyone is like himself, he is easily surprised and tricked by Tazer. Turgor’s attacks hurt both deeply. Yet even now, he can’t bring himself to attack his brother. He’s a bit less gullible, though his good nature will still do him in. Ring-Of-Fire is somewhat hyper, but still hard-working. Ring-Of-Fire can also be angry, but would never respond with aggression. Description: Smaller and weaker than Turgor, related to Marahute, the Great Golden Eagle from Rescuers Down Under (wingspan of over thirty feet, his body's twelve feet from beak to rump; his medium-length tail is three feet long). Ring-Of-Fire looks a lot like a bald eagle, with a large chest, powerful, medium length neck, crest like a sulfur-crested cockatoo's, powerful claws and wings. Feathers on his muscular beige legs stop at his feet. Unlike eagle, his wings, like an owl, have plummels; unlike an owl, these are filled with iron. These, plus the deposit in the wing bones, enable them to stun mammoths and whales, plus producing the thunder-noise. Ring-Of-Fire’s long beige eagle-break, tipped with black and set in powerful jaws like all males has flint deposits that produce lightning. Ring-Of-Fire's fire-gold, with snow coloring his throat and under his wings. Silver masks his fire-red eyes to throat. White spots are scattered on his silver wings. Crest is banded with chrome and ice. When he fully matures at twelve years old, he’ll grow a white mane from mask to shoulders, get golden tips to his wings and his feet and claws will become dusk-colored. Sire: Ketone Dame: Caldera Brother: Turgor Sisters: Ion and Alkali Trivia: Turgor's well-intentioned brother. Ring-Of-Fire makes a fun contrast to Turgor.
