A few years ago, before there was even any mention of a Guardians Of Ga'hoole movie, EbonyPatriot and I were talking about how the song Echelon seemed to fit the books. Maybe not perfectly, but it did seem to along pretty well with them. I had intended on doing an mv to a Guardians movie to this song if they ever came out with one. And then they did. And I forgot all about this one song. A few days ago, I remembered the song I had wanted to do a Guardians mv to for years. So I finally started on it. The video is not complete. I have only a minute or less finished. This mv is a gift to EbonyPatriot. www.youtube.com/watch?v=auP6GjfvKlM

Aww thanks Night Bear it looks neat (the sound's out, so I'll have to listen to the sound later). ^^ I have most of our discussion still on my computer, although I'm afraid I don't remember this one.

You're welcome. It was a long time ago, so I'm surprised you don't remember it. I'm kinda surprised I remembered it. ^^;

Heh that's true. I still have most of the discussions saved to my computer, so I was surprised I didn't have that one. Ah well. ^^ I liked the movie better than I thought I would, although they were a couple of parts I didn't care for.

Heh it's been a while but let me see (for pretty much all of them, what I didn't like I either I can understand why they decidded to do it or something else compensates for it): I missed having Soren grow through the film the way he does in the book, although it's easier to have one character design and barring them using a later plot where Soren has to infilitrate the orphanage again, they won't really need to establish that the orphanage never saw Soren with his adult feathers. I didn't having Kludd captured too, but it is easier to introduce Kludd to Nyra (the part was always awkward in the books). I didn't like the switch from American wildlife to Australian wildlife (raccoon menacing versus a tasmanian devil menacing and echinda versus bald eagle) but in fairness tasmanian deivls look more impressive than raccoons. I did miss Skench, Spoorn, Jutt and Jatt, but it makes for a tighter film to have the Pure Ones already infilitrate. However, I liked the horror of Soren and co. realizing that there were worst dangers than the orphanage. I really, really didn't like Digger and Twilight swapping personlaities. I didn't like Gylfie not explaining as much to Soren, but in fairness she's a little infodumping. Still, I think a compromise would be better. I didn't like how Ezylryb is handled quite as grufflly, with Soren having to learn to like him; but then again, I never felt Lasky handled that well either. I didn't think they did a good job of establishing the world for someone who had never heard of the books. I did like how they handled the designs of the barn owls especially: that they still look like barn owls, but can be told apart. I didn't picture everybody having an australian accent and that was offputting; though since Lasky has them call the owls mum and da, that may be more me. That's all I can think of right now. ^^ Still I did enjoy the movie and do own a copy of it.

Digger and Twilight had their personalities swapped? I didn't know that. Then again I never read any of the books, so I wouldn't know.
A friend of mine read a few of the books after seeing the movie. She isn't too impressed with the books. She likes some parts of it, like the setting and the plot, but she doesn't consider the author that good of a writer due to misspellings, breaking the "show don't tell" rule, mistakes, and contradictions. Another friend of mine loves the books a lot more, being a bird lover, and she loved the movie. She loved the movie's version of Digger.

Unfortuantely, I have lost Sony Vegas and can no longer use it. This means no continuation for this music video.
