Heh, just a thought came to me... a simple question yet it is seldom being asked... now... here is the question... Why do YOU like Brother Bear? --- Me: Hm... Brother Bear... as the Title suggests, Brother, eh? Brotherhood sure is one of the most important elements in the movie... also to walk in other's shoes... that's another good point... and I really like the part when Kenai and Koda are looking at the bear vs. hunter painting... I think that is when Kenai changes his point of view... Ooh, and nature... that human should respect animals... that's what I think...

I like BB because its different, and its done with time and care. It looks like something, more like the days of Bambi. I agree Nikishi,it about respecting animals, which is a major thing in my life. If you don't like/care about animals, then I don't like you. I'm a major animal lover. Plus, they have moose in this movie!! Way to go Disney! We've never seen Moose in their movies before!

I love Native American culture, and the music in BB is outstanding, especially from the Bulgarian Women's Choir. I ordered the BB Soundtrack and the Bulgarian Women's Choir CD entitled Voices of Life. They have just been shipped, so can hardly wait to hear them.
That music is almost the style I am looking to go for on my feature film that I will be producing before too long. Dialogue recording will start in about 3 months.

I'm a little native too. Five or Six generations back I had an ancestor that was Cherokee. I know her name was MayKay, or however it is spelled. It would be nice to learn more about those times.

Mm...why do I like Brother Bear? It's not because I'm native...I have plenty of Cherokee and Apache in me, but for all I care I could be...I dunno...German? But for me it's the magical feeling the movie seems to capture. The transformation of Kenai, both in spirit and in body are very reminiscent of ancient times...when if we did ask...well, whatever you believe in, say, had faith, we would be helped.
Also the background music is often stunning...and the three brothers are rather nice on the eyes. And it's adventure! I'm an adventure junkie, so this film's a favorite.

Why I like Brother Bear?
Because of the powerful message it brings! The magic it's revolved in! The songs, the scenery, the love, pretty much everything! ;D
Especially the characters, Koda is too cute and adorable, and funny! The mooses are to love! Best movie since The Lion King and Lilo & Stitch!

I've been an animal enthusiast for as long as I can remember. I'm interested in animals of all kinds. Bears are my favorites because I like their unique qualities that places them above most other animals. Their adaptability to many kind of environments, the different variety of bears of different colors and sizes, I really like Pandas and Polar bears, and most impotantly, what makes them my favorite is their sheer SIZE and POWER! I don't think that bears have any kind of natural enemy besides us dumb forest rooting humans.
On that note. Since I love animals so much, I'm also a fan of the transformation theme. I like to be able to imagine what It would be like to become an animal so I really get into things that portray transformations. Since this movie portrays my favorite animal and a transformation of someone into one. It was the number one choice for me. I got see what some one would do if they became a bear.
I also agree with everybody else's reasons. The movie has beutiful music that I listen to all the time, and the animation was supurb. I find myself pausing and watching the scenes play frame by frame to view the details in the art. The message it sent was very enlightening and I laughed at the histerical humor. With a wonder cast of characters. A perfect movie all the way!

I wonder if there is any way to know what it feels like to be a bear. Maybe in a dream we can experience that, but I wonder if it is really how a bear feels. I believe there is more to dreams than what even I realize. Sometimes, they can teach us things if we only listen.

I loved this movie for a few reasons: 1) The animation 2) The story 3) The different characters played by truly talented people 4) It has something to do with the Inuit... Which I'm obsessed with.
It's been my favorite movie since I've seen it... Even my dad, who doesn't even care for animated films.

All of the above!
I love the themes in this movie (brotherhood, respect for nature, seeing the world though eyes other than your own, etc...). The animation is amazing. The music is amazing. The story is amazing. The whole thing is just amazing!

Hmm, I don't often just sit down and think about why I like what I like, so it's difficult to put it into words. The most important thing is the story; everything else is just the icing on the cake. I really, really love Brother Bear's story. As a plus, it has beautiful acting (both vocal and animated), a really powerful, emotional score, breathtaking vistas...I'd have to really scour everything about the movie to find something I didn't feel was just the way it should be. Maybe the surfer bear's hair. Or maybe not. Hmm, seems this topic was inactive for a while, eh?
