Well no. ^^; In the original concept I had, that I was going to write, Night Bear does indeed tell the bears the truth. The bears turn on Kenai, and reject him, and banish him from the Salmon Run. The only one of the bears who still trusts Kenai besides Koda is Tug. Kenai does eventually earn the other bears' trust back in the end.

That's sad for Kenai.

Yeah. The story was dark. I think I was going to rate it PG-13 or R because of extensive violence, and I did plan on a few character deaths, such as one of the moose getting killed. I can't remember if it was Rutt or Tuke that I had in mind though. And in one scene, Night Bear captures Koda and tries to kill him, but Kenai saves him.
