I usually do not do fanart, but in case of BB, it seems I'm trying to drown myself in it. I just checked all my BB fanart I could find, and I scanned the few least scrappy, fast ones. My style is quite sketchy, still. There are still PILES of fanart that i didn't have patience to start scanning (hmm, I've been working (wasting) 2 weeks of my life at scanning photos of rivers and streams last summer and a week last winter, but I still didn't have patience to be scanning BB fanart for one evening - but this time I am not hired to do it, that's the reason). This is from the Transformation scene. I did not have a reference when I sketched this. It's a fast one, and my pencil ran out of lead in the middle of drawing. I didn't even realise I was drawing this. It just happened. Then I found this and noticed I've actually drawn this... Denahi in the rain - Reference used. I could not find much screencaps of BB when I google-searched, so I watched the DVD with my computer and stopped it when I wanted to use the scene as a reference. Koda and human Kenai - Reference used. This is, for some reason, one of my very favourite scenes. It is bit angsty, and I kinda like angst (mostly when I am not the one angsting, but angst in movies and such). This time I even managed to draw Kenai that looks like Kenai (do not look at Koda). Kenai rolls his eyes - just a fast sketchy thing. Reference not used. Human Kenai sketches - I can't remember whether I used reference or not. This is from the Transformation scene, too. I kind of like this. I even think I might do a proper, coloured version of this one, but I'm not sure. It depends on my patience. That was it this time. There are more of these, I'll possibly scan them some other day.

Thanks. I don't know how you can see any 'amazing'ness in these, since they are quite fast and messy, but anyway. Most of my drawings are just sketches. I should do some more detailed things, but they take more time, so they're harder to start, because I know I usually lose my interest over what I am doing, if I do it for too long time. Then they'll be left unfinished. Oh, and I would appreciate some critics, too. It goes a bit boring if everyone just keeps telling "oh, these are nice". This is a nice forum. I've only been there for few hours and already feel quite welcome... (And now it's me who keeps telling "this is nice" ).

I think they're good because they look like concept art for the movie.

They are great but as you wanted some critics too, I think you should reevaluate the first drawing up there, it looks like kenai is entering the "spirit waterfall" inside a cave, perhaps you should add some kind of shadowy cloads or such But theres not that much to get at you for... they look superb

You're very detailed. A lot of times, sketching is used for texture. Keep it up, just neaten your lines.

These are great Ropespinner! They are looking like skretches from the movie! And that's why they are so awesome =3 If that was only a fast skretch made in few minutes, so I'm scared to see your pictures when you are working few hours at them XD

Thanks for all the reviews. Del'aki, I won't edit that sky-which-looks-like-cave-picture (I never edit pics I've already finished, I rather draw new ones...), but next time I'm drawing something similiar I'll remember what you said, OK? Thanks for mentionig that, anyway. Today I scanned some more fanart. Reference used. I spend plenty of time editing that pic on computer, believe it or not. The contrasts didn't want to work out as I wanted. I still think the contrasts looked better in real life. Another pic of Denahi. Reference used. In the movie, in this scene, Denahi looks adorably cute. Yes, I am calling someone full-of-rage-at-blood-colored-sunset-ready-to-kill cute. I am perfectly normal. Yet another Denahi - not much to say about this. These are supposed to be Kenai and Koda - Again, do not look at Koda. He doesn't look like himself. Kenai is more regognizeable. References were used. I watched the DVD and stopped it in many different parts... I believe this is the first pic I drew of the BB bears. At least that is the first Koda I've ever drawn (and as a result, the WORST). Because Kenai looks OK (I think), I still posted this. "Excuse me?" - Kenai, bear form. The scene where Rutt and Tuke are "hiding" behind that hollow, fallen tree. This worked out quite well. Kenai bear - I actually find Kenai easier to draw than Koda. Wouldn't have quessed. Kenai bear again - Not much to say about this one. Kenai bear YET again - In my opition, better than the one above.

Those are extremely good. Keep working on your bear. You are steadily improving, though.

Oh my gosh...Those are gorgeous! They look like authentic Disney sketches from the actual storyboard. Impressive!

You made Denahi look un-cartoon-ish. That's really good.

Wow these are.....awesome! Some of the drawings you did of Kenai's bear form and Koda looks a bit too sketchy, but they're good. I also like how you drew Denahi. Those are great, I hope to see more of them soon.

Thanks for your opitions, people. I know I draw humans better than bears. That might have something to do with the fact I've been drawing humans for about 15 years and I've been drawing bears for about few weeks. And in my everyday life I see humans much more often than bears, obivously. But anyway, some more pictures. Koda - I know this still doesn't look perfectly like him, but my own style is a bit different from the Disney style. Koda smiles - Reference used. I am still practising. Koda sketches; annoyed Koda and sad Koda - I want to learn to draw him without reference, but oh well... Reference used this time, too. Nita - not much to say about this. Nita sitting somewhere and looking up to sky - Another Nita pic. Nita looks over her shoulder - not much to say about this. Nita and Kenai (both human) - Nita smiles at something which Kenai would rather forget all about, I quess. Hey, I am posting these fanart pics character by character... First was Kenai, then Denahi, then Kenai bear, then Koda, now Nita... I decided to do something with colors, and I like the Transformation scene. This pic was to try out my new watercolors and paper and such. This is done with... Quite much everything I could reach. At first with watercolors, then with Derwent watercolour pencils (both with and without water being used), then I added some highlights with a white crayon that happened to lay on my table, then I scanned this and photoshopped some colors to be brighter, and added some MORE highlight, and changed the contrast, and made the pic be more orange/red, and made the pic much darker than original IRL version, which was much lamer.
