I like how The Lion King turned out, another great Disney movie. And I can see why Disney wouldn't let you in. Disney is a company that produces movies for children, so they have to be light-hearted and not so scary. If Disney started to produce movies that were darker, with too much darkness and not enough happiness, I can see Disney getting sued by a lot of angry parents and losing a lot of money.
I do like to write dark stories myself, but I tend to give them happy endings rather than sad endings, for the most part. I guess I do it usually because I feel guilty about how much darkness I put into them.

Night Bear, this is seriously turning from a fan art topic into an offtopic discussion of which kind of stories we do and how dark or different they are compared to Disney movies . It's not too bad, because such discussion can be very interesting. Nadine, I did the pic you requested. Actually three pics, two of Nadine human and one of Nadine bear... I am practising to color pics digitally (I've been practising that since I was 12, but anyway) and I had the inspiration, that's why three instead of one. I actully enjoyed doing those, which was a surprise, since I am not much into this "original characters paired with offical ones"-stuff myself, and I quess Nadine is such (but you have every right to pair your character with Kenai, do not get offended about what I said, it's your freedom... ARGH. I should get rid of thinking like everything I say offends someone. I am always apologizing everything I do, and I know it annoys some people... Now I see why people think I resemble Edward Scissorhands... Oh, nevermind me And it is becoming a bad habit of mine to go waaay offtopic). But Nadine was enjoyable to draw. I don't know how you have imagined your character to look like, but this is my idea of her appearance. Do not look at that hand of hers, it doesn't look very good. Other than that, I think this worked out very well. I think I have finally found a tool to do line-art that I like. It is like a combination between a marker and a brush (much like copics). I haven't been doing much digital shading recently, but I tried now. I like how her hair turned out and don't like how the rest of shadings did. In the sketch version, her face was much more angsty. Now she looks just slightly sad/serious. This is Nadine in her bear form. I did this by memory, so forgive me all these mistakes... I quess her ears should not be purple and her eyes blue, and... Yeah. This was a funny idea of mine to do a line-art with a pencil instead of ink. I kind of like how it turned out.

Whoa! Awesomely done! Spectacular! I'm positive Nadine will love these! And to warn you that she'll be so thrilled, you'll have to be prepared for another hyper appreciation of the drawing from her. But there's something I'm hoping you could help me with? When coloring digitall, I still have a long way to go. Could you teach me how to do shading? Like the way you made the hair look like it shines. I'm training myself too and would like to learn. I'd really appreciate it!

I...I don't know what to say. This is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. I'm thrilled, VERY thrilled!!! They're just....oh god, I am too speechless for words XD. The way you drew my human form, it looks so real! And the flower, oh my god it turn out more gorgeous than I could imagine. It's so breathtaking the whole thing! Now about the bear form. Great work, but yes you made two little mistakes. One, the bear ears of course aren't suppose to be purple, they're suppose to be black with purple INSIDE of them. A lot of people here seem to make that mistake a lot. I think I'm gonna have to go back and fixed my character intro thing XD And two, I don't have blue eyes, only brown eyes. But the rest came out good, and don't worry. You shouldn't feel bad cause everyone makes mistakes and I'm okay with that. No worries. Anyway where was I? Oh yeah.....THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!! ;D

If you look for my character indroduction thread introducing Bucky and his sister, Beth, think you could draw a picture of Bucky standing up with the wind in his face (see "On My Way") with Beth next to him looking up to him? ^^

Bucky, I'm not sure. I think I am not all that good at drawing bear characters...I could try to draw it, but if it ends up looking all horrible, I won't post it. I haven't been drawing much at weekend, so I have no pics to post right now.
*goes away to draw more BB fan art*

Your bear drawings aren't that bad Ropesinner. I think they're great. Even your human pics are awesome too. You're a very good artist Oh, hey since you have a DeviantART account, would you mind showing it to us? Some of us here also have a DA account, and we wouldn't mind adding you to our watch list.

I made a picture of Denahi and Kenai - and I drew a background. Digitally. I never do that. I used few eternities to get this pic ready. I think this is the best BB fan art I've ever done. I am very pleased with that background - it might look more like Lapland than Alaska but it looks better than any of my digitally done landscape pics before. Kenai's hand looks bit weird, and he is smiling quite manically, and I practically fought with Denahi's hair, which didn't want to look good. It turned out OK in the end, i quess. Nadine, I never use my DeviantArt account, but the URL is lahtikahjo.deviantart.com . And I don't think my bear drawings are practically bad, I just do not have much experience with drawing bears and I'm a bit afraid to try to draw something as complicated as the wind scene Bucky asked me to try.

Oh my god, that's awesome! Is it just me or did Denahi and Kenai dyed their hairs into blue and brown? XDD

Nadine, try digitally color something black without it sinking into the line-art. I've noticed I usually color "black" hair daaark brown or blue depending on what the person with the "black" hair is wearing. //Edit. *imagines Denahi and Kenai dying their hair* HAHAHA! Denahi would surely try to dye Kenai's hair pink or something like that. Nadine, you made me think of a fan art pic done by some Japanese girl. *tries to find that site again* She's a BB fan and does great fan art. Her name or nick (I'm not sure) is Shibu. ...Hah, I found her site! Scroll down this page, you'll find the pic. Most of those are Shibu's drawings, there are a few that aren't. Hmph, it's a pity I can't read (or speak) Japanese.

So...you're saying is that whatever color of clothes they wear should match their hairs? EDITED: Oh yeah I remember Shibu's Brother Bear art. They were funny but weird. And yeah, I can imagine Denahi trying to dyed Kenai's hair into pink or another color just to get on his nerves. That be funny, but mean to watch that happening right now
