Just putting her paw down, in a step...That was one of my first animations, and I'm not proud of it...

Cool! Animating (especially when you do it ALONE, just by yourself!) is hard work, and you have suggested very, very well. Some of your animations are better than others, but most are...really fine. It is quite rare to see people doing hand-drawn animation like these. How you've managed to make the movements so fluent and natural, and how the characters do not switch appearance as the animation goes on (that usually happens when I try animating... Yeah, I've tried. Trying and being successfull are two totally different things ) is really great. Animating movements, like walking or running in some of your animations, is difficult thing to do. I remember when I was doing an animation with dolls (you know, take a photo, move the doll a bit, take another photo etc...) and natural-looking walkind and such was the hardest part. I had been practising it some weeks and then a friend of mine tried, and since she hadn't practised, it looked quite... Hilarious. When I think about all the non-professional, home-made traditional animation tests I've seen (I mean, not the "real" animated movies/shows you see on TV, of course), these made by you are very remarkable on that list. I've wanted to comment your drawings and your style, too, but the topic for your drawings was so big and there were so many posts and the conversation had started to become quite... not-for-strangers-just-for-the-gang -like, so I could not find any intelligent way to post my comments without sounding outsider (don't ask). When I look at your drawings, I sometimes think they're not-so-good but OK anyway, and sometimes I think you're very gifted. Now, when I have just watched these animations, I choose the "you're very gifted" one: these seem (if not entirely professional yet) to have great potential. It is clear that you really understand the movements and anatomy, and (traditional) animation itself, you can see how and when it works. When it was just your drawings with no movements added, you having such a potential was kind of hidden, but now I can see it crystal clear. I am impressed. There are some things I've noticed about your pics (I'll rather post here than to that big, scary drawings-topic of yours). You seem to have this manner of drawing heads too big. Sometimes (not nearly always, don't worry) your pics look a bit like you have just used reference and drawn without really understanding about the dynamics of what you are drawing (this impression completely disappears after seeing your animated work). When I look at your pics and animation, I actually see more potential than talent - which, in my opition, is much better than seeing more talent than potential. You do have some talent, too, but what really caucht my eye is the potential, your capacity of getting better and better, capacity to... I can't explain in English, sorry, but the point is, to me it seems that you're actually gifted.

Wow...I'm just...speechless..Thank you so much, Ropespinner! I admit I do have a tendency to sometimes draw heads too big ^^; Thank you again so much for saying such a nice thing about these little animations..I don't know what else to say. It's one of the first times I've gotten a comment that left me unable to speak at all ;D
