Chapter 6: “Why!? Why,” Kenai screamed. “You must see what you have done wrong in your life time, so that you can correct it,” the voice said. Everywhere I turn I hurt someone, But there’s nothing I can do to change the things I’ve done, Of all the things I’ve hid from you, I cannot hide the same, And I pray someone, something will come to take away the pain, “Mom,” Koda said. “Koda don’t look,” Kenai said. “But…” Koda began. “I said don’t look,” Kenai said angrily. “He must look if you want to continue on,” the voice said. It was just then when the images showed Kenai killed Koda’s mom. “No,” Koda said sadly. He began to cry. “I’m sorry Koda. Please forgive me,” said Kenai. There’s no way out of this dark place, No hope, No future, I know I can’t be free, But I can’t see another way, I can’t face another day. “Why Kenai? Why? She didn’t do anything wrong to you. You attacked her, she didn’t attack you,” Koda said. Tell me where, did I wrong, Everyone I loved, they’re all gone, I’d do everything so differently, But I can’t turn back the time, There’s no shelter from the storm inside of me, “Please forgive me. I was blind with rage. I had lost my parents before and then I lost a brother. It was down to me and Denahi. And I just wanted to take my anger out on something. I should have listen to what Denahi had told me,” There’s no way out of this dark place, No hope, No future, I know I can’t be free, But I can’t see another way, I can’t face another day. “Okay Kenai. I forgive you…officially now,” Koda replied. “Thank you Koda,” the voice said. A figure then materialized in front of them, it was Koda’s mother. “Since you forgave Kenai, I can finally rest. My spirit is at peace. Kenai, you’ve done a good job looking over Koda. Continue on with that. Good-bye, Koda,” she said. She went over to Koda and hugged him. Just as she was doing that, she broke apart into tiny little lights and floated off into the sky. I can’t believe the words I hear, It’s like an answer to a prayer, When I look around I see, This place, this time, this friend of mine I know it’s hard but you found somehow, To look into your heart and to forgive me now, You given me the strength to see, Just where my journey ends, You’ve given me the strength to carry on. “Good-bye, mom,” Koda said. “This is the end of the line Kenai, you ready to return to life,” Sitka asked. I see the path from this dark place, I see my future, Your forgiveness has set me free, Oh and I can see another way, I can face another day! “Yes,” Kenai replied. *** At the same time Nita, Nadine, Kacie, Midnight, Kimba and Karion were arriving at Nita’s village. “Wait. How are we going to get everyone out. The last thing they need while being in a hostage situation is four bears coming out of nowhere,” Nadine said. “Well I know what we can do. One of us needs to turn back to human and explain what’s going on,” Midnight said. “How is one of us randomly going to go back to being human right here right now,” Nita asked. “I know how,” Karion said. He then began to change back to human form. Unlike Kenai, he had clothes on when he changed back to human form. “Basically, when I wanted to change into a bear, I asked if they could make it so I could change back to human form when ever I wanted. So basically, the plan is I’m going go in and tell people that you guys are going to create a diversion. Then I’ll lead them out while Atka and his friends are distracted. Once everyone is out, I’ll come back and assist you. Any questions,” Karion said. Nobody said anything. “No it’s okay, I can talk to animals also, I know it’s weird that I get all the good stuff, but you can speak up if you want to,” Karion said. “No, I think we all understand,” Midnight replied.
The reason Karion gets all the good stuff is because he's my character!
