Brother Bear 3? Petition?

Okay you do realize what vulgar means, right? It means, pretty much "not for children". The movie was not vulgar, because if it was, it would have gotten a higher rating and would not have been for kids. In fact, BB2 ,probably would not even been made if it was vulgar.

Oops... made a mistake there. I thought it basically meant not very well done/put together. Make my word for it "crude" in that case.

They did something like this in the Balto fandom in 2005- only in that case they were asking for more merchandise and a re-release of all the DVDs, not just a sequel. The response they got just said:

We had been entertaining the idea of producing another Balto movie, but the sad truth is that not enough people bought the last one to make it attractive to produce another. You see, in order to be able to produce a film, we have to know enough people are interested in buying it to be able to pay for the cost and marketing.

Disney probably uses the same factors as Universal: they'll only do a BB3 if BB2 was succesful enough to convince them that they would enough BB fans interested to make it profitable. How well did BB2 do (and does anyone how much of it was pure profit)?

If the petition could get enough people, it could work- although I don't how many people that would have to be.

That's a good point Ken'ichi- that could explain why we haven't heard anything else about the series. Hopefully though, if this is the case, they would do a better job of putting them together.

For my own views on it: personally, I enjoyed BB2; although I'm not sure what I would think of a BB3.

How well did BB2 do (and does anyone how much of it was pure profit)?

I believe it did just as well as BB1, in a movie archives site there was an article saying Brother Bear 2 topped DVD sales and topped in DVD sales charts for a while like Bambi 2. The article was posted in its own topic in the Brother Bear 2 board:

wow poking around i guess the word is spreading about my little petition i actually went and contacted Disney about the info in wiki that there was a bb3 sequel but it turn out they said no and no (info) on the tv series. so i started this thank you for spreading the word. Yes i know how this probably wont happen because of Disney's changes and management but hey its worth a try.

yes in income bb2 and bb1 are almost equal

I wouldn't advise doing that; it would be cheating, and that would damage the credibility of the petition, which is probably already shaky. Frankly, many people don't trust online petitions for just that reason: they're too easy to cheat. :\
