Name: Roanoke.
Meaning: He was named after Roanoke Island, the Lost Colony.
Species: Moose.
Scientific name: Alces alces
Gender: Male.
Mate: Dulcis.
Offspring: Rutt and Tuke.
Voice (if he were in a movie): Jason Isaacs.
Personality: Arrogant and with an "I'm-better-than-you" attitude, Roanoke couldn't be any more different than his gentle, sweet mate Dulcis or his friendly offspring Rutt and Tuke. Only his aloofness keeps him from being obnoxious. Deep down (we're talking REALLY deep) inside of Roanoke exists a warm, loving nature that drew Dulcis to him and that he passed on to Rutt and Tuke.
Bio: Roanoke had mated with the most beautiful doe in the world, Dulcis, but he had to leave for many years, leaving more food for his family, back when Tuke was just a baby and Rutt just conceived. Years later, Roanoke returned to Brother Bear land, expecting to meet sons exactly like him. Boy, was he wrong!! Disgruntled and shocked, Roanoke reluctantly agrees to follow his sons; although he spends long journeys alone, trying to find Dulcis.
Description: Like his famous sons, Roanoke's coat is reddish, although much darker than theirs. His crest, bell (dewlap) and shoulders are a brilliant fire-red, his great palm-like antlers are larger than most moose’s', spreading seven feet from tip-to-tip, his legs are snow-white, and his fiery eyes are dark. Roanoke is ten and half feet long and eight feet at the shoulder. His intelligent head is more stallion-like than other moose’s'.
