Yep, Byron Howard told me about that. Disney is also going to continue to make 2-D animation movies, more frequently after that, too. Apparently Pixar was the one who was most disappointed when Disney said they were moving away from 2-D animation to 3-D animation.

Finally all is right with the world. We have our old 2 D animation back.

I'm aware of this news for quite sometime. I'm very glad Disney is finally making a 2D movie and reviving the 2D world. Enchanted was awesome, but it was more live-action with just 2D animation at the beginning and ending.

Like Keni, I knew about this a year ago, but.. Horrah! Finally back to the greatness of 2-d animation! It'll be a breath of fresh air to see this. I hope it's good.. =3

I'd say that I like Disney being both 2-D and 3-D. I mean, some of the new films are beautiful, but they wouldn't have been this way if it wasn't for 3-D animation... For example, 'Wall-E'. It's beautiful but try to emagine it in 2-D. You can't? That's the point. And 'The Lion King' or 'Brother Bear' won't look good as a 3-D movie. So, I guess, I like Disney any of ways as long as the animation matches the story and characters. But I sure like the old-school way of animating so I'm waiting for 'Princess and the Frog' as well ^^

I could probably imagine Wall-E in 2-D.

umm... actually there IS a schene in both brother bear and lion kind that has 3D in it, on lion king its near mufasa's death, the part with the wilderbeasts running, theres a schene in it with 3d.
same goes to brother bear on the caribou at the beggining, AND in the confession part.
on both cases the 3D part is the sets. still it counts as 3D
