Has anyone seen Disney's newest movie?
Man, it was great. Finally a 2D movie since Brother Bear and Home on the Range. The animation was great, and it was so much fun seeing Disney bringing back musicals in their films (Gotta love how they brought it back in Enchanted as well). The story was pretty good and the Shadow Man has got to be my new favorite villain. Such a character!
Another great movie under Disney's belt. Highly recommended to go watch it.

I haven't seen it yet, but I definitely want to watch it some time. ^^ On September I saw some video clips about it from Youtube - and I became excited about it.
I'll have to see if someone will go to the theater to watch it with me. I don't feel like going alone; it's always nicer to go in company. If not, I'll have to wait for the DVD..
EDIT: I just learned that here it'll come out on February.

The release date of "The Princess and the Frog" in the Russia is January 1, therefore I could see it only in 2010. But I'll do it as soon as possible) Thanks for your recommendation)
Upd: I have seen it!) "The Princess and the Frog" is great movie in Disney's animation traditions. It is colorful, musical, funny and dreamlike story. I don't repent that I saw it (:

I decided to see this movie. And it was really great. Probably second best movie I saw this year. It comes out in February really? At my theater they are still playing it. Mostly it takes a little bit longer for the movie to reach DVD. But, I guess it does make sense. Movies mostly come out on DVD'S about 4 months after it's released. And here it came out in November so I guess it makes sense. But, would you mind telling me where you found out that it will be released in February so I could keep keep an eye on it so I could pre order it?

I actually meant that in Finland they begin showing it in the cinema on February. But now that I re-read my post, it does kind of sound that I'm talking about the DVD. Sorry about that. :S I'm afraid I don't know when the DVD comes out.

That's okay! I have my own guess when it will come out on DVD here. Since It came out in November in the US. It will probably be available to buy on DVD and Blu-ray by Late March or Early April in the US.

I forgot I hadn't posted in this thread yet, since I posted about it on DA. I was so excited for this movie, I saw it at the first available show, at midnight on the eve of its release. XD And I've seen it three more times since then...I want to see it at least once more before it leaves the theater. ;D Needless to say, I was not disappointed. It fully lives up to the Disney tradition. I don't have a favorite character out of the lot, because I can't choose between them. I gotta say though, I really have a special place for Ray, because I never imagined how likable or entertaining he could be from the teaser trailer. I regret to say I was kind of grossed out from that first impression. XD But once he appeared in the movie I warmed to him instantly; he's actually adorable, and sweet, and has some of the funniest moments in the film. If I had to choose one favorite, it might be him. :3 Kudos to Jim Cummings; I've always been a fan, but I was honestly wowed with his performance here. And if I don't stop now I'll just keep gushing about everyone and everything to do with this movie. I can't recall anything I didn't like about it. Maybe the closeup of Lawrence's butt. Yeah. Could have seen a lot less of that. XD Right on. I never gave up hope, and it feels great to have that hope realized.
