What can I say about this movie this is truely the king of Disney movies back in it's day. Still to this day I love this movie. Simba to this day is still one of my top favorite Disney animal characters. So, guys and gals give me your thoughts?

I remember when we first saw it in theaters. My cousin came out bawing her little eyes out. I also remember getting scared and covering my eyes at the stampede scene and Mufasa's death.
Great movie. One of Disney's best.

One of all Disney's Classic Movies that makes 3Ds seem to have nothing in comparison with this great movie.

I guess my first contact with The Lion King was when I watched my brother playing a computer game based on the film. Then, I remember borrowing a TLK songbook and cassette from library, and the songs – especially Can You Feel The Love Tonight and the beginning of Circle of Life – just somehow stayed in my mind and heart. We didn't have TV that time so my chances to see the actual film were little. Finally, however, I saw it. I remember we were on holiday in a cottage that included a TV, and we had borrowed videos from friends, so we could finally watch TLK. And I loved it, truly. Hehe, I still remember the 7-year-old me trying to run down a hillside on four -- imitating a lion, of course! xD Must have looked pretty silly. In Christmas 2003 I got the special edition DVD -- and that, by the way, was also my first contact with BB; the DVD includes a BB trailer. ^^ I also remember getting scared and covering my eyes at the stampede scene and Mufasa's death. Yes, there were scenes that scared me. Especially, I guess, the final battle between Simba and Scar. As a little kid I would get uneasy watching a film and knowing that there would soon be a scene with someone getting in trouble, or really a dangerous climax. I agree. It's pretty amazing, isn't it; first the people making the film were very reluctant to make it. And see what TLK has become: one of the best-known and most popular Disney films.

It has a high enough user score in other places that actually focus on it. Brother Bear has a definitely fewer fans.
Lion King was a really great movie, but I think it's a teeny bit overrated when people come around calling it the "Best Disney of all Time" My personal favorite is and always will be Mulan, even if the animation-style is different in comparison. It doesn't make it worse - just "different".
