Name: Tokala.
Meaning: "Fox" in Native American.
Voice (if she were in a movie): Kristen Chenoweth.
Species: Vispilio’s Dracovol (a sub-species of Dracovol).
Species Meaning: (in Latin) (Vispilio=thief by night)+(Draco=dragon)+(Volo= to fly), so all together "Thief by night's flying dragon."
Gender: Female.
Age: Nine years of age.
Personallity: A playful, restless trickster, Tokala delights in other's bafflement and anger. Yet despite this, when one is truly in pain, she will give everything to help them (even if that sad one doesn't want her). Tokala is type to steal your food simply to frustrate you; then return it unharmed. Despite these contradictions, she is a loyal Vispilio's Dracovol- to those who can put up with her idiosyncrasies, that is.
Bio: A beast of the Creatacous era, the phoenix Fawkes had brought her back with him when she was a youth. She snuck away from him while he rested in Brother Bear Land/time and couldn't find her way back. Loki (with some help from Tanana, of course) found and raised her. Now Tokala roams the land at will, returning to the Raven only once in a great while.
Description: Unlike a true Dracovol, the Vispilio race has proportions one can only describe as coyote-like. Her head is the troodon's (albeit with a wider muzzle); as is her tail. Her wings are not dragon's, but like an eagle's in form. If one looks close enough, it can be discovered that the non-bony part of her wings are real fused flight-feathers. Warm, thick downy feathers make up most of Tokala's body (although she does not appear very scruffy). Four feathers crown the 'crest' of her skull. Her normal stance is that of a quadruped, with five digits in the front of her somewhat human-like paws, four at the back.
Her main coloring is an iron-gray. Tan streaks down her muzzle and colors her brows. White streaks her underbelly, starting where here head joins her throat and ending at the black tip of her tail. Three thin, snowy stripes slash her back; the non-bony parts of her wings are also this color. Dark chocolate colors her fore-legs from where the forearm joins the lower arm to her wrists; on her hind legs, the dark chocolate stretches from the middle of her lower legs to her ankles. Black 'stockings" stretched from ivory claws to the wrists/ankles. Her eyes are jade green.
Trivia: The Vispilio Dracovol was the ancestor of the phoenix, which accounts for Tokala's obsession with fire (although, unlike the firebirds, flames can kill her).
She was originally created for my Anastasia parody to serve as a love-interest for Rex (and was inspired by Dimitri in that same film). When I was camping, I decidded to flesh her out more by RPing her.
That said, please note that for the RP, she is NOT Rex's love-interest.
