Name: Aguta.
Meaning: "Gatherer of the dead."
Species: Human.
Gender: Female.
Age: hard to tell...maybe around Inoko's age. But she lokks really old--in a bitter way.
Personality: Very Evil and rude and wicked. But is a really good actor when tricking other people.
Bio: Once a shaman aprentice in Nita's village, she lived peacefully, learning how to so magecraft (Or whatever they called it back then,) and she even had a new born son. but the more she learned about the art of magecraft, the more powerhungry she became. Inoko became very suspiscious when Aguta tried to learn about all the wrong kinds of magic. then, one day, when her newborn son was very sick--on the edge toward death, Aguta went behind Inoko's back and used magic to try to make her son imortal and invincable, but when Inoko tired to stop her, Aguta tried to kill her with the power of dark magic by swearing her loyalty to the dark spirits. After a great battle, the village eventually stopped Aguta, and banished her out of the village to live in the forest. but, during the battle, Aguta's newborn son was tainted by the dark spirits, so he had to be killed, and since then, Aguta has plotted every step of her revenge...
Description: Since her banishment, she's continued practicing dark magic, and in a way, she became a shaman (though technically, that makes her a witch,) but for a "Shaman" she's actually alot taller than most shamans, and she wears dark clothes to represent her darkened soul, and instead of her past beautiful self, she became ugly, evil and bitter.
Bonus Info: When she was banished and eventually mastered dark magic...well, let's just say that her son's rampage, as well as her revenge, has not ended just yet...after all...she's not called Aguta, getherer of the dead for nothing...

Here's another one. Name: Ihun. Species: Human. Gender: Male. Age: a year older than Denahi...or around that. Personality: Quiet; uncomfortable around girls, Jokester around guys, jockish, a real guy's guy. Bio: When he was a child, among friends with all the other youngsters his age, (like Denahi) he was a simple, happy, go-lucky boy, confident in anything, and he lived in peace in Kenai's village. Then, one winter, his father was off hunting, but he forgot his lucky knife, so his wife went off after him to give it to him, leaving Ihun alone with his friends. but then...an avalanche crushed both his parents, leaving him all alone. The entire village worried about him, wondering who would take care of him, but Ihun's parents' friends took him in for a while, but since the avalanche, Ihun had changed forever; instead of being sociable and happy, he remained silent and antisocial. but luckily, in time, he bonded with the other guys in the village, and he, Denahi, Amaruq, Muroc, and the others were very close friends, but even so, Ihun refused to do more than joke around for a little bit, and was very solitary, eventually taking his parents' hut and living there alone for many years, and he never lets anyone too close to him, even to this day...but, THIS year, when the annual Fostering ritual begins, he gets a big surprise and that surprise might be able to mend his heart.... Appearence: Very strongly built, and very handsome, and very muscular. If you are all wondering what the fostering ritual is, read my fanfic details and find out.

Sounds a bit like my character (on the "living in solitude" part) of course thats okay We need more out-sider characters here But yeah, another interresting character, although perhaps the background story, with his parents dying because his mom ran after his dad, with his knife, is a bit.... Thin..... I mean, they must have been quite a distance from the village, and if that is so, a women wouldn't just take off, because a hunter forgot his knife They are smart enough to think that of course he'll he'll come back once he realises he needs the knife What hunter with respect for himself forgets his knife anyways (Don't misunderstand me, I'm not flaming your background story, I'm merely commenting )

No, that's okay, I WANT new perspectives. that way, I can see where I need to improve, and it helps me become a better writer. You are right, but the reason why it sounds a little thin is because I had this character in thought for a long time, but I never had a good background, so I basically just threw what I had in first thought, so I could see the reaction of the audience. so anyway, what would you reccomend? I need some ideas. There are actually a lot more characters I have in mind, but I didn't post them here yet because I can't get their background story worked out. Think you could help me out?

Ultimately it should be your choice to determine an apropriate background story But of course, if you want some assistance, I'd be happy to do what I can! Just present to me, who your other characters are, and what you had in mind with them and I'll do what I can do assist you with creating a background story if needed! As for the current characters background Story: What if both his parents had become deadly ill, perhaps after being stinged by something or so..... Watching them slowly pass away, day for day, would surely deeply affect Ihun. And it would also help explain why Ihun wen't from a happy and jolly kid.. To a outsider, living in solitude, afraid of others, and sad.

Hmmm...Yes, that is a nice idea...but now that I think of it, most of my characters don't have any parents...perhaps there was a tragic accident that happended in Kenai's village or something...what do you think? Perhaps when Ihun was playing with his friends, his parents went for a walk for some "alone time"....and then they got trampled by mammoths? I don't know...
Also, I have another character, but the only thing I for surely know about him is that he's one of Denahi's friends and that while Denahi's having personal issues since kenai's leave, he's the one who tries to look after him. His name is Amaruq, and other than him and Ihun, there's another friend, Muroc, and you know American dragon Jake Long? well, he's actually a lot like him, only he doesn't rap, and he's older, but his personality's the same, but he, too, doesn't have parents. So, what do you think?
By the way, to better explain Ihun's personality, you know that disney channel movie, Buffalo Dreams? remember that one guy, Thomas? Well, that's Ihun's personality.

I'm afraid I don't know Buffalo Dreams Die from being run down my mammoths? haha, yeah sure you can say that, if you want your background story to be "unrealistic" I mean, you have to ask yourself, what did people die from, back then? Nature catatrophes, Diseases, lack of food, wild animals (Not mammoths, but flesh eaters) accidents (falling off clifs and such), tribal disagreements..... There are probably more... Since you say that most of your characters are without parents, you could perhaps assume that a nature catastrophee hit Kenais village, perhaps a hurricane or so, and that that hurricane perhaps laid waste to most of the village, destroying huts, houses, tents, whatever they lived in.... And perhaps, most of their parents were crushed in collapsing houses? Just a thought

YES!!!!!! I FINALLY GOT IT!!
Sorry, I was just a little hysterical for a moment, ^^; yeah, here's an idea:
around the time when Kenai and Nita were friends, Kenai's village lived somwehre els, but then where they lived had a great flood, so most people died, including Kenai's parents, along with the parents of the other kids, whose brave souls died from trying to protect them from the strong waters. But, when Kenai learned about their move to another area, he knew he wouldn't see Nita again, but didn't tell her. then, when Kenai's village was adjusting, Ihun's parents fell into a tragic accident of being killed by...well, actually, that's all I got for now, but I'll be back to finnish it. Got any ideas anybody?

Scratch that, another idea: Perhaps Ihun's parents did go for a walk for some "alone time", but were crushed by a landslide from a roky place where they went. What do you think?

Er, actually people were likely to have died from herbivores as well. After all, they would have been hunting them and thus running the risk of having the animal turn on them. Today, wolves, cougars and lions have all been known to die from wounds inflicted by the prey's hooves, antlers or horns. As for mammoths, if they behaved like elephants, than they too would have probably killed people too. Some elephants have been known crush lions and humans; also, during the musth bull elephants will often kill any humans that cross their path. Sorry for going off-topic but I wanted to point that having some characters killed by herbivores is realistic. As for your characters themselves, as I said I like them- they sound well-thought out and it's nice to see the miscellaneous villagers included as characters. I do have a question though: who was the father of Aguta's son? Oh yes and about the names... you had said that you had trouble finding names. I'm not saying you have to change the ones you have (they fit the universe well and there's nothing wrong using names from elsewhere); but if you wanted to, you could always check here for some ideas: www.wordgumbo.com/ea/can/caninu.htm (this was posted by Kadzait a while ago). I can't wait to see your characters in action. Live long and prosper. -EbonyPatriot

Here's another character; sorry I've been gone so long ^^; But... I need help actually; remember, my characters are just character IDEAS, not actual characters. Anyway, I'll show you what I got for this character; but first, let me just say that i did not steal this character, I only took some ideas...but if I did, then I'll change it, but ....well, let me just show you what i have in mind... Name: Taniha. Species: Human Gender: Female Appearence: Has beautiful raven black hair in two braids, wears rasberry-pink clothes, some patches of light and dark in some areas (like Denahi's blue shirt) and has big, sweet, innocent eyes that are dark brown, almost black, and wears brown pants and lighter brown boots, and for extra info, her face looks like she has make up on, but she's naturally cute. Bio: When Taniha was born, her parents abandoned her, and left her in the woods to die, for reasons we do not know yet, but, after a day, when she spent hours crying , the animals of the forest heard her, and came to her, but they couldn't understand her, so the sprits gave her the gift to talk to animals, and so the animals took her in and raised her in "shifts" you could say, but as she got older, she came across some hunters, and , in their foolish way of thinking, the hunters tried to smuggle her, for they thought that she would not survive, but the animals rescued her, and after the chasing off of the hunters, the animals wondered what to do, since apparently the humans thought of her as savage, and the animals could only do so much to raise her. Then, the sprits came, and gave her the gift to talk to both humans and animals, and since then, it was much easier to raise her, and she was able to protect her animal friends too. But now, she will soon go on an adventure to protect her animal friends for a great danger that's a threat to both species...but can she do it, with the help from humans--who she doesn't trust? So, what do you guys think? Any suggestions?

Actually I'm really interested with this character! Kind of reminds me of a past age "Samus Aran". Raised by those not of her kind which gives her special talents that she learned from birth. Making her tough and strong and that special talent to speak to animals and humans. Makes her a great warrior! I'd like to see her in action!

Thanks Truttle. Unfortunately, I'm afraid that you won't see her in action for a lttle bit; I'm still working on my Brother Bear saga: The Chronicles of Brotherhood, but, if you're impatient, perhaps I could tell you the plot so far. Anyways, as soon as I figure the story out, I'll post the fanfiction up, and you'll get to see her in action, along with many other interesting characters...including the dark shamans who are bent on taking over the whole forest, one of them being none other than Aguta, gatherer of the dead....
Yeah, let me know if you want to see the plot so far...and maybe you can help me get it to make sense.

Well, I know i've been gone for a while, but here's another character idea...
Name: Sedna
Species: Human
Gender: Female
Age: half a year younger than Sitka
Description: has very long, smooth raven-black hair in a long braid, wearing very stylish native american clothing, with a very..."Mature" body (if you guys get what i mean...) with sharp, beautiful eyes that will hypnotise any man she wants.
Personality: very devious when it comes to the opposite sex, as she likes to use her very sexy looks as an advantage to get male attention, or simply to get what she wants, but she is not a spoiled girl, mind you...she just knows what makes a man tick...but she is also very loyal to her fellow female friends, and does whatever she can to help them....like Sitka, she is the older sister character in the group.
(now, in her bio, it might not be perfect, because i haven't thought it through yet...so it might change later)
Bio: Before Brother bear actually started, Sitka had a Fience, Sedna, and they were very passionate with eachother...unfortunately, due to a bad flood that happened, Sedna had to move far away to start a new life in a new village(because her other one was destroyed in the flood) she asked Sitka to come with her, but Sitka had to take care of his brothers....so after a very emotional, heart-felt goodbye, she left....but after the Brother Bear story, she returns to get closure for Sitka's death...which might be a lot harder than she thought, as she still loves him...and wants him....
So, what do you guys think? any suggestions?
