I had this song, and after I watched Brother Bear the first time, I realized this song has something in common with Brother Bear, and Kenai. Its Linkin' Park's "My December" I don't usually listen to rock, but I like Linkin' Park's style of music. Anyhow, Some of the lines in there go with exactly what Kenai is going through at certain parts of the movie. ~Its "His December" because he got his "spirit rock" ~There are phrases like "I wish I could take back all of the things I said to make you feel like that", would be when he told koda about him and Koda's mother, and Koda is up the tree. ~"I wish I didn't feel like there was something I missed" would describe his feelings when he first turned into a bear and grew farther apart from his human "pack" ~"And I'd give it all away, just to have somewhere to go to" would describe him trying to fit in with the bears, after he realizes Koda needs him. See, this would make a great "flashback" scene for Kenai's character in one of the RP's. ~~BTW, I'll insert a link when I upload the song to my website so everyone can hear it. geocities.com/raorla/music.htmlThe link works now!GRR! The data transfer is limited! What a load! If you have trouble downloading it, drop me an email (kdfwagen_vwbug@hotmail.com) I'm going to fire up MY webserver and put my site there! No limits then! ;D

I have started putting together a small movie set to this song, and it is turning out REALLY good. Those years in video production in hight school are paying off now! I'm having problems with importing video sometimes with Movie Maker. I'm going to another program, so I may have to start over. ~~ GRR, I tried Adobe Premiere, and it is conflicting with other software, and won't start. I tried a program I bought a while ago, "Digital Studio Pro", and the disk is bad, And Now I'm trying to get the big guns, going with Pinnacle Studio Pro...Downloading an evaluation now...Just hope I can edit a movie in 30 days (or however long the period is) The free programs out there aren't even worth the space on the hard drive, or the download time!

Cool, I found a program that is actually not too bad. Its Power Director from CyberLink. ( the same people who make Power DVD). This is making the movie edition process a little better... Anyhow, I am posting the firs part of it, because i'm out of ideas of where to go... Anyhow, its edited from scens from the movie, showing the stuff kenai is going through, and thinking... Its on geocities still ,so be careful not to stream it off of the site directly, rather save it to your computer and play it. Its eh em...17.5 Megs...*Cough.* I'll post a smaller size version too! GRR, having trouble with it already. I NEED to get my server working...but I need a 700 dollar processor for it...Yeah....

Though I can't get the video to work, I did download the song, and I realized I like it quite a bit. ;D I think it does work very well for Kenai towards the end of the film.
I think the lyrics to The Reason, by Hoobastank, fit Kenai's situation as well.

OH YEAH! I remeber that song now! I have it somewhere here *runs to closet, throws CD's everywhere...* "GRR, its not here...." "A little help cleaning up?" "Anyone?" ~~ I FOUND IT! *Huff, huff* *shoves into CD ROM drive, which doesn't open in time* "PLACK* "NOOOOO!" ~~ I heard the song, finally. I think it also describes my character VERY well. It does have a lot in common with Kenai's times. I got several ideas while listing to it, and got even more ideas about how it describes parts of my character, and things I plan on him doing...Thanks for bringing that song to my thoughts!

Thinking about it both songs do seem to reflect what Kenai goes through in the movie. I never realized that before. Just one question, what do you think the movie would have been like if they had tried to include those songs?

I really don't know. "My December" doesn't really fit in one place in the original movie. I think it would work very well as a general summary of Kenai, shown with flash backs and key turning points in the movie, which is what I am creating. If they had included parts of "My December" into the movie...It would have been more about Kenai's memories of being a human. What he misses about his human brothers. It would have been centered around Kenai trying to return to human, and not so much as him learning to be a bear, and what bears are like... But the ending would be MUCH stronger if the rest of the story was more about Kenai trying harder to become a Human again. Because it would show that he really understands what being a man is about, and sees that bears are not so much different that human.
"The Reason" is pretty much the same way, but I think it fis better...But I'm not sure where exactly it would fit. It would fit in various places. But does describe more of what Kenai is feeling. It would work REALLY well at the end, after he changes back into a bear, and playes with Koda and Denahi..Than follows through when he puts his print on the wall...Yeah, that might work there, not chaning the whole movie much, because it fits there, maybe showing a few flashbacks of him and Koda fighting.
HEH, I LOVE open ended questions!

Hey SilentDawn, since The Reason and My December are pretty good songs that would into the movie, I was thinking, wouldn't it be cool if Evanescence's song My Immortal would fit into the movie? I just thought it might be a good idea cause it a really sad song and I think it would fit perfectly in what Kenai and Denahi were thinking when Sitka's funeral took place. What do you think?
