The Bald Eagle has been taken off the Endangered Species List. The Grizzly Bear is no longer listed as Threatened in Yellowstone. The Gray Wolf, I think, has been removed from the List in certain states as well.
While these animals no longer have the protection of the Endangered Species Act, from what I heard, after a delisting of any species, ESA must monitor the species for 5 years to ensure the species no longer needs their help.
After the delisting, the animals will now be protected by wildlife officials, from what I have read.
