Yeah I need some help. Don't worry my computer works fine, well all except one part... I can't login into my hotmail account or MSN Messenger. Now it worked fine on Sunday, but I downloaded two web browsers to my computer today (I'm a beginner web designer) and since then they haven't worked. I've already removed them (Safari for windows and Opera), but the problem persists. I've already re-installed the messenger once too. I've even tried a system restore with two different restore points, but they both failed. I own a laptop computer that uses vista and to fix the problem they say to execute the following: regsvr32 softpub.dll, regsvr32 wintrust.dll, regsvr32 initpki.dll, regsvr32 Rsaenh.dll, regsvr32 Mssip32.dll, regsvr32 Cryptdlg.dll, regsvr32 Dssenh.dll, regsvr32 Gpkcsp.dll, regsvr32 Slbcsp.dll, regsvr32 Sccbase.dll in the search menu in startup. Now heres the good news this is where the problem is I'm pretty certain: regsvr32 softpub.dll, regsvr32 Rsaenh.dll, regsvr32 Mssip32.dll, regsvr32 Dssenh.dll, all work just like they are supposed to. regsvr32 wintrust.dll, regsvr32 Cryptdlg.dll load but fail. wintrust error code is 0x80070005 and Cryptdlg with 0x80040005. regsvr32 initpki.dll, regsvr32 Gpkcsp.dll, regsvr32 Slbcsp.dll, regsvr32 Sccbase.dll do not load at all. To me it sounds like all I need is to replace and fix those few files. I've already tried surfing the net for answer and fixes (Like trying to find a needle in barn full of hay ) and I am desperate or an answer.

I'll ask Littlefoot from GOF. He's a computer expert. Maybe he'll be able to help.

Actually I'm managed to fix it ;D. I ran a free registry program and now it works agai n(got it from cnet downloads, highly rated). No more messing with web browser (although Opera was starting to grow on me ) If I have anymore problems I'll be sure to post here for advice.

I use Opera now and still do. I won't be able to access any sites without a web browser.

DLL problems, huh? Well, whenever you have problems with them and/or they're damaged, you can try to fix them by finding them here and replacing them: www.dll-files.comAlso, some DLL files are located in your Operating System installation CD. All you have to do is find the damaged DLL file in your computer and then explore the CD and find the DLL you need. Then all you have to do is use your computer's CMD (Command prompt) and expand them from the CD to the computer location and it should be fixed. However, the latter is a bit hard if you don't know how to do it. This is a little something I recently learned in college this week.

Thanks for the ideas Ken'ichi. I do have the installation disc of my operating system so I could replace the files. I'd actually like to fix this problem to prevent further problems down the road. I'll have to do this weekend after I make a backup my computer which runs fine now. If I need any help I'll ask ;D.
