So the PS3 picked up sales as of July 29, that's expected since the PS3 does have some good games coming out. I am expecting its sales to rise as the good games come out, so I'm not surprised if it starts picking up well.
Even still, the Wii and DS are doing record strong numbers as the article suggests, but this small increase and drop of sales does not mean anything yet. The PS3 still has a long way to go before it can catch up to the Wii and Xbox 360. Even then the Wii is still racking up impressive sales and is getting closer and closer into catching up the Xbox 360 and surpassing it.

Yeah I have to agree. Just because the Wii has a drop in sales and PS3 has an increase in sales does not mean the PS3 is beating the Wii in the "Console Wars". PS3 is still dead-last behind Wii and X-Box 360. As Keni said, PS3 has a long way to go before one can say it is beating the Wii in sales.

What's the point of having a top-notch hardware on a videogame system without games to play it with? I sure wouldn't get a game system if there isn't any games to play on it. And that's basically what sells these systems, not because of what's inside it.

more power better the quality of the game it still depends on the story board but if the numbers keep climbing then it should be a decent system and now it leaning to blu-ray now but i do agree hardware doesn't make the system the games and the movies will have to be top notch for this to continue. Sony also released numbers some ware that it should have 100 and some games released in the us and some 300 and some all over the world. now how good they will be we will have to wait and see.

What good is a system with "more power" and "better quality" that has no games with it? Now if it were just a video player that's one thing, but this is a game console. No matter how good the quality is, no matter how much power it has, it's still useless without games to go with it. Remember, power is not the most important factor in a game console.
