OOC: It's been a long time since this roleplay was updated; I know my response has been long overdue. I wrote a rather long post a few days back, and I put it up here without thinking, but I realized that after so long, maybe I should have asked you first. Are you still up for it, or would you rather it stayed on hold? I have my post saved, so I can put it back up if you do want to continue.

OOC: WHOOPS! I'm so sorry Epesi- I didn't realize you had posted. *Feels stupid* Oh yes I'd love to keep on this RP- if you'd like.

Almost on cue, Rutt and Tuke reappear, bursting out of the trees with a great clamor. They charge, they kick, they bellow something fierce -- until they find the clearing empty, save for Roanoke and Qoheleth, both very much alive. Tuke freezes in mid-stomp, his mouth hanging open. Rutt kicks at a discarded spear. Both find themselves feeling rather foolish. "So..." Tuke swallows. "I take it the show's over, eh?" OOC: About this latest delay...after saying I could paste my post back in, I decided I wasn't happy with it anyway. One thing led to another; a few changes turned into several complete re-writes. Oops.

OOC: 'Tis quite all right- especially since I'm so late in replying. BIC: "Yes," barks Roanoke, Ears sweeping back. "Why did you run like that? You-" "Peace," commands Qoheleth. Lowering his head, the old stag whispers to the brothers, "forgive- he'll probably be a bit cranky for a while. I've often found that wounds shorten the temper."

Tuke flinches at Roanoke's anger; Rutt hangs his head in shame. Both have spent the past few minutes grappling with their guilt, and it's been a losing battle.
Qoheleth's words help to soothe them a little; even now, they can't resist exchanging looks over the first statement. Roanoke, a bit cranky?
The rain still falls, but not as heavily as before, and Tuke seems to have cheered up already. He takes a few steps forward, tilting his head slightly. "So, I guess that's it for our little sing-along, eh? Shall we get goin', then?"

"Yes, let's," replies Roanoke, staggering to his hooves and striding forwards. Qoheleth hangs back to speak with the brothers. "I'm worried about your father," he says, jerking an antler towards the out-of-earshot moose. "Two spears! Great Father, he should have fallen! Is he always this stubborn? "And another thing," continues the old White-tail. "He needs to control his temper. That's not good for his blood pressure at all. Could possibly talk with him about it?" OOC: Er, I hope you don't mind me using your joke, Epesi. I can change it, if you'd like.
