Finding it a bad movie, is okay, but bashing MY opinion WHILE YOU HAVEN'T EVEN SEEN IT!?
Oreius, the trailer says NOTHING about this movie. All you've seen is cut clips, 1 minute of it out of a 90 minute movie. The movie isn't portrayed well in the trailer, but that's with a lot of movies. Spirit has one of the CRAPPIEST trailers I've ever seen in fact, it only seems to attract young, little, pony-lurving girls. But the movie itself isn't even that bad.
A wise man once told me: "Opinions CAN be wrong. If they are based on pre-judice and ignorance, no truth nor reason can be found in one's opinion. Only views based on EXPERIENCE and KNOWLEDGE should be considered valid. Afterall, how can one judge without knowing what he's judging?"
Oreius, your profile says you're 19. I think you're a 13-year-old kiddo that likes to roleplay as his mother (nitabk?) and has not experienced any social or logic development. Grow up, pull your head out of the sand (or in this case NARNIA, which by the way also is a crappy movie) and get your 'male centaur' ass to see that movie BEFORE you go hating fans in public.

Whoa everyone, calm down here. I haven't seen the movie yet, but that's because one, the trailers doesn't catch my interest to watch it, and second, I barely go to theaters to watch movies, I usually wait until they're on TV or on DVD to watch them. I agree with Epesi though, only watching the trailers doesn't give you the right or the business to judge a movie, as trailers are there to get your attention to go watch the movie. If you haven't seen it because the trailers doesn't interest you, that's fine and all but it's not enough grounds for you to say if it's a bad movie or not, much less give your opinion about it, especially to call it the worst movie of 2010. You have the right to skip it, but until you've seen the movie don't go around hating it, because once you say to others you're judging it based on trailers alone you're going to get this exact kind of reaction. (or in this case NARNIA, which by the way also is a crappy movie) Hey now, I thought Narnia wasn't that bad. ;D

Honestly, Ken'Ichi, I haven't even seen Narnia. Just want to let Oreius know how it feels to have someone bash a wonderful movie while he hasn't even seen it.

Hey its my own opinion,if you don't like it thats fine with me.That is what makes the world what it is,people talking about the other's thoughts and such.
The trailer might not say anything about it,but it still shows what the movie is about, even if its"crappy"or that.
I am 19 and you are just mad because someone spoke up against what you like or that. And I do not

Very funny, but nitahbk is my real actual mother who I invited to come here since she likes Brother Bear as well. And my head isn't in the sand for Narnia either as I didn't like it all to well or is it my favorite either,I just like it abit where I can use a picture from it.Nothing more.
At Ken'Ichi: Hey,I am ONLY saying what I think,HE shouldn't get so emotional because ONE person doesn't like it.Remember it is ONLY a movie, nothing more.

Nobody here is getting "emotional because one person doesn't like it". I could not care less whether or not anyone who has actually seen the movie likes it; I like it, and that's all that matters. I am simply baffled and frustrated by the idea of a person who decides to hate something without trying first, something that for all they know they might love. Green Eggs and Ham, anyone?
What I think we're getting a little "emotional" about here is the incredible rudeness of a person posting in this thread to sling insults at a movie he's never seen, for no apparent reason. We're just not used to dealing with trolls in these parts; I should have known better than to feed it.

I'm not getting pissed because you don't like it. I get pissed because you deliberately bash us and OUR opinions. And guess what? Our opinions are actually based on the film, yours is on a teaser.
And honestly, you don't even have an opinion. You only said it's crap, you never gave any arguments. Because, you know, that's what an opinion should be based on: ARGUMENTS.
I'm not emotional, I'm just telling you the truth. You won't see me crying because of your stupidity. I laugh about it.
By the way... how could I expect some kind of wrestling obsessed, space-phobic nutjob to know what a good movie is anyway.
It IS only a movie. And you ARE ignorant.

Now Czarine, you're not helping. Direct personal attacks were not warranted here. And be fair: Oreius did not bash us or our opinions; just the movie. I hate to say it, but you're acting quite a bit worse than he is at the moment.
We ought to have just ignored him instead of throwing fuel on the fire. Now this thread has become thoroughly derailed.

He quoted my message and contradicted everything I said... How is that not personal?
And I'll stop from here, but do know, Oreius, your reputation with me has become practically nil.

Look,it is just a movie and I am speaking of what I think. If you don't like it you can say that.Weither it was the trailer or not,I saw parts of the movie ok? And I can voice my opinions on this on a trailer because no law says I can't.
So you don't have act all smug because I am telling the truth and what I think. As far as you saying my reputation with you is now nil? That is how it is almost always been and remember YOU pulled the plug on it not me by getting so worked up about a movie.
Heck I respect all of you for your thoughts and that, but you can't for my own on the trailer?

It's like comparing apples to pears. I hate the trailer too. A trailer is just an assembly of short movie clips that don't resemble much of the plot, the depth of the story, the development of the characters, nothing you can judge a movie on. All it does is reveal the title, the setting and introduce the voice actors and show you some hawt clips from scenes. The movie itself is something completely different. I hated the trailer (and a lot of other people did as well, because it didn't do well at all in it's opening week), but it gained popularity because of word of mouth (people recommending the movie to other people). It's worth at least an Oscar for Best Score and Best Animated Feature. I saw it and I really was pleasantly surprised. If you want to form a real opinion about the movie, I suggest you go and see it, at least online. I thought it was stupid before as well, just the fact that it was made by Dreamworks was enough to reject it. But guess who made this movie what it is now? Chris Sanders and Dean DeBlois (2 ex-directors from Disney ). It's not like any other Dreamworks movie. I'm sure you'll at least enjoy watching it, you don't really have to like it. Sorry if I insulted you, I was kinda pissed about someone bashing me on another forum (I now have a mail inbox full of people swearing at me because I apparently am a homophobe... which I'm not). So yeah, your response was kind of the last straw. But I still think the way you base your opinion on movies is ignorant. So yeah... sorry.

Yeah I'm sorry to.This normally why I never join in or talk, when I speak my mind I always get backlashed or a fight breaks out.My thoughts on it was its...eh...alright for a dragon movie, but I just couldn't after I saw the trailer. My mind might change after I see it(as it has before as I said Brother Bear sucked when I saw the trailer, but here I am enjoying the movie) but for now that is how I feel.
And I wasn't bashing you,I was the movie cause...it just doesn't do it for me.
And everyone, don't call him a homophobe,he was speaking up for himself and his thoughts which is very good for people to do.
I respect you alot Czarine and sorry this all had to happen over a movie.*hugs if allowed.*

Predisposing an animated movie simply because it was made by Dreamworks? O.o I think someone has their views a little mixed up. I think Dreamworks deserves a lot more credit than that. I've enjoyed many of their CGI productions a lot more than some of the Disney ones.
But anyway, I'd like to see this fabled "Horrible Trailer" as I had the opposite reaction to everyone's opinion on this movie. It was the trailer that got me to go see the movie, but after viewing the actual movie itself, it didn't appeal to me all that much.

Let me tell you what I thought was wrong with the trailer. Badly synced vocals (that's because they cut and pasted them from completely different parts of the movie), presence of seemingly typical 'Dreamworks' humor (which in the end wasn't the case), wrong portrayal of the bond between Hiccup and Toothless and the trailer was more focussed on action scenes and melodramatic, Baywatch-style slow-motion walk cycles. And do admit, except for Kung Fu Panda, Dreamworks hasn't done much good with the 1 or 2 dozen of animated movies they've released so far. The company has profit on a higher priority than emotionally moving the crowd they're entertaining, like Pixar has very high on their list. That's why I am very skeptic about basically any movie Dreamworks releases. So yes, I was pleasantly surprised after actually seeing it and concluded that the trailer portrayed the movie the wrong way. A lot of other fans agree with me here, actually.
